Kenmore110.620 will not start

Electric dryer no start does nothing

Check dryer Terminal block prongs both outside prongs should give combined 220, and 110 each if u check 1 outside & 1 center (ground) prong. Also check house electrical outlet for full voltage.

CHECK THERMAL SHUT OFF THERMOSTAT USUALLY LOCATED ON THE BLOWER. for OHMS or resistance with a meter. Should show a closed circuit. Ohms WHEN THIS FUSE BLOWS IT WILL SHUT DOWN EVERYTHING.

NEXT Test the PUSH start switch with meter for OHMS. Should show OHMS when pushed in or on start, and no ohms or infinity when in off position.

If you hear a humming/clicking sound from motor area you more than likely have a bad motor.
Try this test out to see if u have weak windings or relay/capacitor on motor.
Open the dryer door and turn by hand the drum while machine is on ON position. And you or someone else presses the door engagement switch in. If it starts up then u have bad windings

Another thing to check is the belt safety switch. With a multi meter.
Especially if u just replaced the belt. The belt safety switch is attached to the Tensioner and motor. IT LOOKS LIKE A DOOR SWITCH SOMEWHAT a little black pc of plastic with 2 prongs going into it. Sits at bottom of motor. Under the Tensioner. Attach meter clips to the 2 prongs on switch, Then when the little white push button is pressed in it should show continuity and none when released.

Lastly check ut push start button for continuity with a meter when pushed in the on position, it may have gone bad.

My machine stopped and made a constant beeping while the 3rd, 5th, 7th & 8th lights across the top remained on. What does this mean????

It sounds like this is a Fisher and Paykel-made top load washing machine and you are referring to the Wash Progress LEDs. The flashing of the 3rd, 5th, 7th and 8th LEDs from left to right indicates fault code 43 and it means the Motor Controller Module has detected that the out of balance switch is permanently tripped. The out of balance switch lever may have been stuck in the open position or the harness connecting it and the Motor Controller Module is disconnected.

Move the basket assembly as far as it can go towards the right hand rear corner of the cabinet several times to possibly lodge the lever back into close position. Raise the top cover then locate the out of balance switch at the right hand corner of the cabinet then make sure the lever is hanging freely. Disconnect the out of balance switch wire harness, if the lever is properly hanging but the same LEDs are still flashing (Fault Code 43), then join the terminals together to bypass the switch.

Reconnect power then start the machine. Replace the out of balance (OOB) switch if the machine works fine with the switch bypassed. If not, check the continuity of the OOB switch wire harness and make sure it is snugly connected to the Motor Controller Module. The problem is in the Motor Controller Module if the wire harness is intact and snugly connected but the machine still doesn't work even with the OOB swicth bypassed. Replace the Motor Controller Module if that is the case.

Why does my fisherpaykel washing machine beep and flash the 3rd 5th 7th 8th lights

(00101011) Phase 1 to 6 - OOB Switch Fault The Motor Controller module has found that the signal returning from the out of balance switch indicates that the switch is permanently on or the harness to it is disconnected. Primary Source: Mechanical. Action: 1) Check that the out of balance switch is free to move. 2) Check that no harnesses are blocking switch movement. 3) Check that the switch operates correctly when activated. Replace the switch if suspect. 4) If the out of balance micro switch shows signs of corrosion, replace the switch and switch harness, and fit a condensation kit to the console area if not incorporated in the top deck. 5) Check the level of the machine and also the bias spring. Secondary Source: Wiring. Action: Check the harness to the switch is connected correctly. The terminals should be connected to the normally closed position. If the harness terminals show signs of corrosion, then fit a new harness. Tertiary Source: Motor Controller module.(Display Module Phase1 ) Action: Replace Motor Controller module.(Display Module Phase 1)

I press the power button but the machine does nothing. It's pluged in and the lcd lights up

  1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
  2. Plug another appliance into the electrical outlet to make sure the outlet works.
    • If the electrical outlet does not work , plug the product into another outlet that does work.
    • If the electrical outlet works, but the product still does not turn on , continue to the next step.
    • The power module has a safety feature inside that protects the product during a power surge. If you experienced a recent power surge, the power module might need to be reset. Use the following steps to reset the power module.
      1. Unplug the power supply from the rear of the product.

Transfer case wont engage borg warner 13-56 electronic

if when you press the button to shift into 4 hi, all you hear are a lot of clicks from the control module under the glove box and no indicator lights, that could mean the actuator motor on the back of the t-case is warn(it has no braking ability) so it overshoots its position. this is a common problem. you can go under and hear the motor moving but it seems like it doesnt do anything. sense the module cant get the motor to stop in the correct position, it defaults all the way back to 2wd. a new tcase motor will fix that, you have to splice the wires into the 10 pin connector because from the factory i think 8 wires go to the motor/position sensor and 2 or 3 wires go to magnetic clutch and speed sensor. if there are no click when you press the button, i mean nothing happens, you can run a self diagnostic on the control module by turn the ingnition off, disconnecting the bottom 2 connectors of the 4x4 module (the top connector is the power supply dont touch that one) then turn key on and press the test button on the module (next to the red LED) if the LED lights up and stays on the module is bad. if you press the test button without disconnecting the bottom 2 connectors the led will light and stay on, this is normal and not an accurate self test. turn the key off before reconnecting the module. this advice is of course is assuming you already checked fuses, inspested ALL connectors in the circuit, especiall if a new tcase motor has already been spliced in some years ago, checked power at the switch and module and good grounds.

I have just changed the brown control board and now i have a fault code 9

Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly.

You did not provide a make and model number so here is my best model to problem guess....

Your new control board is missing the size information.

AQUASMART-SIZE-SETTING. Size information must be programmed when a Motor Control Module or Display Module has been replaced. If the size is not set, the display will show fault code 9, or the water levels and wash actions will be incorrect. If the machine displays fault code 9, the machine must be switched off at the wall and then back on again before it can be sized.

Setting the size:

Unplug at the wall and then re-plug it in.

Press and hold Temp Up, then press Power. Wait for the 4 beeps, then set your machine size as follows to YOUR machine size:

5/5.5kg machines - press Temp Up. Cold led should light.
6/6.5kg machines - press Water Up. Low water led should light.
7/7.5kg machines - press Spin Speed up. Spin hold led should light.

Power off, try a programme.
Thanks for using FixYa!

1. Turn the power on at the power point and off
at the console.

2. IWL12 - Press and hold the FABRIC CARE
button, then press the POWER button. This
will present a set of options in the LCD
screen. The LCD screen has within it a
number of options. Push the Adjust button to
highlight the 650mm (L) machine size.
Pushing the POWER button will lock the size
into the module’s memory.

GWL11 – Press and hold the WASH TEMP
UP button then press the POWER button.
Press the SPIN SPEED UP button (the HOLD
LED should be on.)
3. Press the POWER button to return to normal
