Does the center green light, light up, but no ring and your controller won't sync with the console ?
Are you using an hdmi lead?
If the answer is yes to these, try pushing your hdmi cable firmly into the console and the tv.
If not comment back, we may be able to help.
Remember thumbs up if this helps.

ha thanks man! I was checking everything to do with the connections to the xbox and power supply, i didnt think to check HDMI connection to my TV. Turns out it had been bent right back, simply straightened it up and reconnected and worked a treat.

Have you tried resetting the display by turning the console on by holding the home button on the controller. As it starts up press and hold Y and the right trigger until the display inisitalizes.

Ring of light has 4 quadrants flashing green - no picture on TV

Red Lights are a problem for Xbox 360, however green light problems are hard to find, still you can try following steps to check where the problem lies

1) Boot with no HDD and see if that helps.
2) Also remove all your inputs in the back, and reinsert them. Make sure your HDMI/VGA/Compenent input is plugged in correctly.
3) Try switching the output from HD to SD, if you have a HD VGA Cable for your Xbox 360
4) Turn the Xbox 360 off, turn it on with the controller, as it turns on hold the Y button and the Right Trigger, this will put all audio/video settings to default.

If the above given steps do not help, kindly call Microsoft Support and try to get an answer from them to this issue, and if required you may have to send your console for repairs.

Xbox 360 has no video or sound, but has green lights

Follow the steps below, Hope this helps

1. Try another Av cable ( Audio video Cable )

2. Try another television

3. If the steps dont work, call xbox customer support to have your xbox serviced. Good Luck! hope your console still has warranty

The main reason why its acting that way its possible that the AV PORT is faulty.

My xbox 360 has a red ring but a green icon

You may know, but, the red ring represents that there is a hardware problem, and i am betting that your video card in your 360 probably went bad if it will turn on perfect but no picture shows.

Have sound no picture and 2 green rings around power button

They are green?!? usualy when people have problems with  the xbox 360 hardware, the lights turn red. This xbox 360 may have a birth defect... Best thing to do is call 1800-4my-xbox. Talk to a representative about sending your xbox in, ONLY if you have not voided the warranty. If so, you will most likely have to buy a new xbox or new motherboard for it.
Also try changing your video settings to tv instead of hd, or hd if it is plugged into a hd tv. You might have toggled the HD switch on the video/audio chords.

Audio but no video

Red ring is not the only problem with Microsoft Xbox 360. This amazing device also has some more common problems like Audio but no video problem, disc read error etc. Microsoft is providing extended warranty only for red ring problem. Means you will have to spend some money to get this problem repaired also if you plan to send your xbox to Microsoft, you will have to wait for 3-4 weeks to get back your favourite Xbox. There is one more option in the form of DIY guide, this guide explains solving No Video problem with step by step instruction, so any novice can fix this problem

I get red rings when i turn on my xbox 360

3 Blinking red lights often means that your Xbox 360 has suffered from hardware failure.

4 Blinking red lights means that your Audio / Video cable is not correctly connected (it's the colorful one; Red, white, yellow; green, blue, red if Component)

If it IS just three lights, and you bought your xbox 360 under three years ago, call 1-800-4MY-XBOX

Xbox 360 problem

If you can still HEAR sound, but can't see. Check your Audio Video Cable.

It's the colorful one (red, white, yellow) (red, blue green, white, red)

Make sure the connections are secure into the back of the TV as well as the connection to the back of the Xbox 360.
