you should try a soft reset and failing that, copy all your photos etc. onto a desktop computer or external hard drive then factory reset.

Outdated or missing drivers can cause the touchscreen to work improperly, or not respond at all. Visit the manufacturer's website to find the right drivers for your Tablet PC. b> Repair b> While you can perform some minor repairs yourself, such as re-calibrating the touchscreen sensitivity or installing drivers, only perform a hardware repair if you have a good working knowledge of electronics, specifically Tablet PCs. Before attempting to repair your device, contact your manufacturer. If your Tablet PC has a warranty, completing an unauthorized repair may make you ineligible for claiming that warranty. Try and press the top button and the home button at the same time for about 7 seconds.

Hopefully your Ipod closes down and you will see the Apple logo on your screen.

Just let it initialize and syncronize.

This will hopefully help. If not you might need go to your Apple retailer and leave it for repair.

Did you try restarting the phone...??? If it didn't work try resetting everything. And even if that is not working then I would say it's probably a hardware error. You would have replace your touch panel. Could cost you a little bit. Rush to nearest samsung service center and get it done.
And also bear to put a screen gaurd always. I would not advise you to use touchscreen phones without screen gaurds.

The touch pad is dead...it's a hardware issue...go to the vendor or workshop...within a year it is replaced for free.Good luck.

Remove any protective cases or films from the iPod, clean the screen and test with bare fingers.

Try to calibrate the touch screen. Also clean it with a soft cloth. But calibrating it should help the film when you tap the screen.

I think my solution for my Viewty will work for the iPhone

I found a solution for the LG KU990 Viewty touchscreen not responding problem. After thinking about twisting my phone, I came up with another solution which actually works every time. The touchscreen works via layers of plastic that when contact is made, a signal is triggered from the coordinates of the contact. However, when the phone has pressure, these layers of plastic stick together somehow. So, to fix it.... Get a small strip of adhesive tape that will not leave a sticky residue on your screen. Apply that tape in several spots on the surface of the screen, and lift it away from the phone with light pressure. Repeat this in several areas of the screen. That's it. You're done. Your screen should function properly. Simply recalibrate the touchscreen at this point in your settings menu. I hope it helps everyone with any type of touchscreen. I know it helped me. The touchscreen phones are totally useless using only the hard keys!
