Question about Microwave Ovens
If you have water through the door the first thing to check is water pressure. If the water is just dribbling out of the door or is coming out very slowly then the problem is with your saddle valve. It will be located in the basement or crawl space usually just trace your water line from the back of the ref and see where it goes. It is the valve that actually taps into your water pipe to feed the water to the ref. You can shut off the water to the house and open the valve up and clean it out with a pipe cleaner or piece of wire or just replace it with a new valve they are only about 10 bucks.
The second thing you would have to check if your water pressure is good would be the inlet valve. You can usually take an ohm meter to the valve (located in the back of the ref behind the access panel) to check the solenoid for continuity. You will want to check the solenoid that feeds the ice makers water line. You could also remove the water line that feeds the ice maker from the inlet valve itself and blow into it this will let you know the line is clear and your fill tube (tube in freezer that feeds the icemaker) is not frozen.
If the inlet valve checks ok, then you will most likely have a bad ice maker. These will often go bad on LG's especially if it is the flex tray style.
Hope this helps. Good luck _MJ_
