OK. I suggest typing the model in on EBay and getting the cheapest one there is.

I have just bought a technics sc-dv290 hi-fi off of my cousin and found out the mid range and the tweeters have blown does anyone know where i could get replacent tweeters and mid-range speakers for it if...

As you probably know, these are the individual model numbers:

SC-DV290 the base unit
SB-DV290 speaker set

Front SB-DV290
Center SB-PC95
Surround SB-PS95

I'd scour Google or eBay for any or all of those models. Orphan speakers appear periodically.

How to hookup ipod to technics sb-2840 speakers

quick solution is to go down to radio shack and get a small amp.  They have them for under a $100.00 bucks. The connection is from the mini jack to stereo RCA's for greatest ease and flexibility.  You can also go to a good music shop like Guitar Center and see what they have used.

Technics speaker torn

most of the older Japanese speakers must be repaired ratther than replaced if the frame is squared or odd sized. many had a flange making a 15" speaker a 16" size or were square framed so that a round replacement will not work. if it is a standard size round frame speaker, then this is easily replaced. if the tear is only on the center dome or dustcap, then this can be easily replaced. if the actual cone is torn or there is other damage to the moving parts, then the speaker can be reconed. often modifications must be made due to the current availability of standard sized parts vs the original metric, etc, but in the end, the reconed speaker will perform as closely as possible to the original and sometimes better.

Max. wattage for speakers w/ Technics Receiver SA-GX100?

I too have a Technics SA-GX100 and it's rated at 2 x 40W @ 8 Ohms. I have the Technics SB-2840 floor model speakers hooked to it, which are rated at 200W Music Input - 8 ohms. It sounds very nice just to be a 40W receiver.

Technics sax-710 receiver Nht sb-1 speaker developed a buzzing sound when playing, Kids may have over drove speakers(not sure) Replaced with nht supezeros now both speakers sound very staticy like off...

The speakers have buzzing sound because of damaged cones.
Over driving speakers, especially with heavy low frequencies, can tear the voice coil away from the cone.
Once damaged, only replacement will help

Technics hifi speaker cover

Hi There Elvis,

Obtaining the exact copy will be difficult...as follows---
The manufacturer makes production runs then moves onto the next model, only certain original parts are kept for spares then once these are all sold then the spares become obsolete..

There maybe different shades of colour on the speaker material
and it usually fades in use anyway from sunlight and other UV factors.

I would suggest that you make the repair yourself. The speakers them selves are worth saving so if you can ease the front covers of and work out how to remove the material 'matt'. There are curtain shops that sell material so you could go there and choose a material that tones in with your lounge colours and just
install the new material yourself....

The other alternative is to advertise for second hand speakers for this Technics model and replace the complete speakers cover fronts and all...you could watch the for sale sections alos on the internet or newspaper...

Cheers from YUBEUT...
