DW blew GFI fuse and spartked out junction box

Found nothing in the motor, no burned wires, but the thing smelled like it was burning. Hooked it to a cord an plugging into a GFI - 3rd cycle it blew the GFI and shot a spark out from around the junction box. Now what to replace?

How do i fix dyson DC41 Animal vacuum upright cleaner it has burning smell coming from motor and it blew the fuse box when i WENT TO VACUUM. the wire flex is a bit over twisted

You most certainly shorted this out and will need a new cord. Easy fix but you will have to take it apart and find where it failed. I doubt the motor fried but it is possible. When you take it apart look for the burn mark left by the electrical arc. That is the point you fix.

I have a 2000 Mercury Villager and the fuses for the turn signals and brake lights keep blowing. Why?

A burning smell is an important symptom of something VERY WRONG. Get it towed to a repair shop, and get them to trace the wiring harness.

The power window will go up and down but smelled like it was burning inside the door then when I put my lights on the tail lights blew out and the fuses i put in it.

The power windows & tail lights or not likely on the
same fuses or circuit

I would address the smell of something burning first
If you have to remove the door panels & look things over

Leave the fuses out for now that blew

You need wiring diagrams after an hour or so
of checking out the tail lights

Fuses only blow from an overload or short, sort of
one in the same

I would be looking for wires rubbing that are in the
circuit that blew the fuse

We can not help at all without having the car,it
may be a time consuming process to find & resolve

If any thing was added to the car that is not factory
or anyone recently did work on it,I would go there first

You didn't say what year or make it is, If you crossed the wires, you probably blew a fuse, check all the obvious ones, then look for some that are hiding in the wire harness. Depending on the bike, Honda always hides one or two. It will take some looking, but you should find something burned out. Check it out.

I have a bull frog spa with two flo-master pumps, specifically Emerson extreme- e model number r23mwdma-175. Spa is noisy and had made a burning smell. Is this a motor, impelled, or other problem? My...

Common sources for a burning smell in order of most likely, depending on how your spa was equipped, in my opinion would be:

Blower motor - Worn out brushes on a DC motor arc heavily and will give off an odor.
Heater - Elements build up scale over time with less than ideal water chemistry and will give off an odor when heating.
Pump - As a pump nears total failure it can overheat enough to begin to burn the winding insulation and tie down cords causing a burning smell.
Control box/electronics - least likely but a failing relay or GFI recepticle can also burn and eventually fail.

Car is Dead Completely

Check your main relays in the fuse box under the hood, hopefully its blown one or a few of them before it did real damage to your wiring.
