Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
My DVD/CD rom player is suddenly not being recognized in "my computer" nor does it show on the screen once it starts up. I see it listed in device manager
You may have to take out and put it back in. Make sure you this with the laptop off and then start after you insert the optical drive back in. There should be a switch or one screw that will allow you to remove the cd drive. If all else fails, try reinstalling the driver as well. If after all this you still have issues, you may need to replace the drive.
