Problem with start up (by 13 users)
When i press power button lap top will not start up,all i get is a blank
screen

when i start my satellite p30 all that comes up is a black screen...please help...vic

I have tried restarting the computer by removing the battery as well as pressing the fn and 14 at he same time

when i start the my T40, won't start. no hard disk light. all other lights works. Fan works and CD ROM works.

I turnes my laptop on, and the sceen is just black. won't work and it won't turn off either.

When I turn on my laptop Acer Aspire 5100 the fan starts but the screen stays blank. I have unplugged everything, removed the battery, and plugged it in but I still have this issue.

The thinkpad IBM t41 am using has failed to show anything on its screen!
However, when I connect it to an external monitor, am able to see the contents of the screen.

everytime i on my laptop.. there's a green light on my compaq evo n600c but the problem is the screen is blank.. i already remove the battery and return it agen, but still, its blank.. i tried to use ac power,.. but still the same.. what should i do?.. can you help me?.. thanx..

i have t40 ibm thinkpad, i have big trouble in this laptop. First when i start up , power light on but no display, no hard disk light on. when i shake laptop then display come. but when i replace the place of this laptop then again display gone. i really don't know where is the problem. if i try to move laptop ad laptop is running condition , display is gone. some time when i sart lapop also display did not come. any body can help me.
Normly this laptop working very good.
what's can i do plz help me

My power cord is plugged in and the green light is on but my Dell Inspiron won't turn on. I have tried unplugging the power cord for awhile and plugging it back in but it didn't work. I haven't tried taking the battery out, but I will if you think that might help. Is there anything else I can try. It's about 4 or 5 years old.

Same problem. Last screen looked like you were looking through a gauze mask - blurry. Now it's blank no matter what I try.
