Thank you for responding to my request. This is actually a file that I created to quote jobs on for my customers. What I would like for the program to do is each time I open it that it gives that particular file a quote number and then I save as "file name". I'm using Excel 95 and operating on XP.
I can send you a copy of the file so that you can actually see what I need.
Please let me know.
Regards,
Donald
how do i get in
Don:
Got a good one... I'm plugging it in to YOUR workbook that you sent me to make sure it's all good to go! Keep your fingers crossed and hang in there!
Maggie
Just a quick update for you: I have the macro/vba that I thought you'd need to do this... I just need to make sure it works and will work in YOUR version of Excel....
Your patience is appreciated!
Maggie
You're welcome! Yeah, please go ahead and send me a copy of the file... my email address is [email protected].
I'll take a look and see what I can do for you.. I'm sure it's just a simple macro that we can pop in.
Maggie
Is this a saved filed that you run in Excel? Or.. is it a 'program' in the sense that it something that someone created and in order to use it, it opens in Excel?
Also, what version of Excel are you using, and what operating system (i.e. XP, Vista, etc.)
Thanks!
