Go to Adobe and down load the latest version of Adobe Reader (9.3) it is free and then your computer will open and read pdf files.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Cant open attachment i downloaded i says xhtml. And php

This error usually comes from saving a file in the wrong format.
This is most likely a PDF file.
Get Adobe Reader by clicking on the link I provided.
After you installed it. Either change the files "last name" to .PDF, or download the file again, saving it as a PDF file this time (not html).

Cant open attachments

What happens when you try? Does it ask what program you want to use to open the attachment? Did it work before, but now it doesn't? What types of attachments (photos, pdf files)?

Some attachments require applications to be downloaded. Try downloading Quick Office and Adobe PDF Viewer and then try downloading your attachments again.

In yahoo email i cant open a linked attachment. this is a brand new computer.

Hi Smith.
To be able to open attached docunebts the related program must e installed on your computer.
As an example:
If an attached file is a PDF file (eg. xxx.PDF) a pdf reader must be installed - typical Adobe.
Can be found here: - download the Adobe Reader and install it.

If the document is a word document eg xxx.doc or - xxx.docx - Microsoft Office must be installed and so on.

The problem might be as descried that the related program is not installed on your computer.

I cant open my pdf attachment from my email from sony experia x10

If it is a small pdf file the already installed "Office suite" SHOULD open it.

If it is a rather large pdf file you may want to download "pdf viewer" from the apps market also installed on your handset.

When I open a pdf attachment in gmail the pdf doesn't appear

You surely don't have the latest Adobe reader. Your Adobe Reader has to be of version 9 and the Acrobat reader has to be of version 5.1 Thank you Sir, Regards Nandini.

Can't open .pdf file email attachments from Windows Mail (Vista)

Send yourself another known working PDF attachment and see if the same thing happens. If it does, post back. If not, then it most likely means there's either a naming issue with the problem PDF, or it is just corrupt enough to give you troubles when opening from email.
