Polaroid 20" flat screen FLM1911

Hi hope you can help me... When I turn on my set I have no picture just sound but if I let it sit (until it warms up ) I can turn it back of then on and its fine... when it is on It works great ,,, any idea ?? its also hooks up to my home security so I can use it as a monitor and also to a Direct tv tevo box...

When you turn the tv on it goes to the settings screen and you can't get a picture for about 20 minutes until it warms up

Fist is contact Philips to see if this (with the model number) is a known issue or if there is a software upgrade available for this set.

We have a Polaroid FLM-323B. Have issues starting

Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.

I would suggest not to try to use the TV until the problem is solved becuase more damages can result.

While watching the TV the picture suddenly went out - still have sound. Turning the TV off and on again does not help - the POLAROID Logo displays, but when the station connects - still no picture

possibly external power supply faulty under load it may fail these power supplies ofen have capacitor failure open the power supply to check for leaking/bulging/swollen capacitor is around 2000uf rated at 12v

Polaroid FLM-3732 Can not change picture settings

select picture mode.press right arrow button to change your picture mode {vivid,sport,hi bright]to change sitting you much choose user mode.the other settings are factor settings.

Picture won't come in clear until TV "warms up" for 15 minutes or more

Change the capacitors first per the instructions in the link below. Symptoms could be anything from high-pitched hum to no picture at all. On these defective models, I would start at the caps and work back. It won't hurt to replace them anyway.
