Question about JVC Televison & Video
I have a JVC AV-48P776. The power flicked off in my house with the tv running. Now the tv will not turn on. No indicator lights or any sounds when I attempt to turn it on.
This is a model first made in 2005. Follow the ac power cord into the set (unplug it first from the wall etc) and it will lead you to the glass fuse. JVC QMFZ049-5R0Z-E F905 FUSE, 5A 125VThis is the part number and F905 will be printed on the board next to the fuse which is 5 amp. If you are lucky the fuse just got surged out when the power came back. Some advice--do not buy a "generic" fuse like at Radio Shack--they will not work most of the time and blow for no reason--this fuse looks normal but you want one like it that is slow blow or thermal--most TV shops or parts dealers will have something not generic--brands like littlefuse etc. Check the fuse first--if it is blackened or the wire inside the glass broken you have found your likely problem. If the fuse is good further testing with a volt meter will be needed. Let me know what you find---I am here to help. SD TECH
