I was under the impressions that i could hook up my MP# player to the front aux and the display would show the song info on the front of the display, did the salesman tell me incorrectly? Also, it does not display the song info when I insert a CD.

Hi, An auxiliary input allows you to select an external source and play it through the cd player's amplifier. It's often used for iPods and MP-3 players. Typically you just need an inexpensive patch cable that connects the headphone output from your portable player to the input on the CD player. After that you can select "AUX" as another source like CD or Tuner, and whatever's playing on the portable unit will be heard through the speakers. Auxiliary inputs can be on the front or the rear of the CD player. Front aux inputs are typically 3.5mm stereo plugs, similar to a small headphone jack. Rear aux inputs can be RCA jacks or a 3.5mm jack. If you have a CD player with a rear aux input, a cable needs to be connected at the time of installation. Then the other end can be routed to whatever location in the vehicle you want to keep your portable player while you're using it with the CD player. Front aux jacks are more convenient for quick connecting/disconnecting the portable player, but they tend to wear out over time. Let us know if you have somethin more to ask else accept the suggestion. Thank You for contacting Fixya
Try to open the panel (front) while the power is turned on..look for the tiny hole marked (sometimes) with reset and try to push with a pen to click. Reattached the front panel control and try to check if all the function has gone back.good luck!
hey dear, just do this if you wanna set AUX function: turn off your head unit.. when is in standby mode, press the volume knob and hold it pressed until it appears some words... then start moving on to differente options by clicking left-right of the right knob... you will find aux on-off
not sure if standby mode, or completely turned off (to turn it off just click the SRC mode a few seconds)
Windows has a problem sometimes recognizing this drive. hook it up with the USB , then go to My Computer , then if the drive is not showing click the SEARCH tab on the My Computer file manager window. the drive should show up .. find it double click .. then go into the Music folder .. drag and drop your songs there ... make sure all songs are ID3 tagged first with Artist song name ect. . enjoy .. i lovew this little player .. scrap the earbud phones that came with it and get some good sony headphones .. i use the MDR-G57's loving it .. excellent sound .. to delete file songs select the song right click on it .. delete it .. ez
