Question about HP Scanjet 5590 Flatbed Scanner

The program cannot read from or write to the file system.

It says to try the following:
-Delete unused files to free up disk space
(my computer is just a couple months old - there is plenty of disk space)

-Reinstall teh Photo & Imaging Software
(I did. It says all is intalled correctly)

-Scan your hard disk for problems

    Scanner tells me my disk is full but I have 104 gigs free on the drive. I can scan to other drives with no problem, just not to the folders I would like to store the scans in.

Fujitsu 6130 Scanner speed has gone down considerably


Scanner speeds are dependent on the Computer System and the hard disk capacity. You need to create contiguous and Large space in Hard disk. Delete unwanted files and also run 'disk defragment' to create contiguous space.

Hi

Scanning require disk space in you computer. Try to remove some clean up or remove some document files in your hard drive to free some space. Check also your C and D drive jf how much disk space it available.

1. Using the EPSON Scan software, edit the settings to see where the program is trying to save the file.

2. Might as well check what file type is the program currently is set to save.

Delete some of the files you no longer need. Or purhase a bigger HDD. Or purhase an external HDD and move files from youir internal HDD to your external one.

Epson v100 scanner can't write to file


Hi, this message usually appears in the following circumstances:
  1. Not enough hard drive space - check how much space is available and free up space if required.
  2. The location where you are saving your files, all ready has a file with the same name. - You can select a different location to save your files via Epson Scan settings, move or delete existing file.
  3. The location where you are saving your files, has moved or been deleted. - Select a different location to save your files via Epson Scan settings.

A window appears saying "unable to scan. Be sure there is enough space in the destination disk."


Your hard drive may be getting full...
Or the account (user name) you are using on the computer does not have enough "rights" to create the output file.
Assuming it is Drive C:

Open [My Computer]
Right-click Drive C: (one time)
and select "Properties"
In the [General] tab, locate and click on [Disk Cleanup]
The system will harmlessly "scan" your hard drive to try to free up space. It is not deleting or compressing anything.
When the scan is complete, a list will appear, place a check on:
Tempoary files, Temporary Internet Files,
(do not "compress" any files)
and click [OK]
Try your scan again.

This is a temporary fix. You need more hard disk space.

An error message when i try to scan


On the CanoScan Toolbox program bar, select settings. Then hit the Browse button next to "Select Folder where Temporary Files are Saved" and go up one level to Canon from TB50. Then hit OK. This fixed the problem for me after Microsoft Updateinstalled updated Canon drivers. It looks like the geniuses at Canon are either having you write to a write-protect folder or one that only has system permissions and then giving you a disk-full error.

Unable to scan.make sure there is enough space on the target disk


Do a "reset".
•Go into the CanoScan toolbox,
•click Settings,
•click the Defaults button on the bottom
•then click OK.
It will take a few seconds to reset and you should be good to go.
