Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

If you look in the manual at the "hookups" page 1, connect the controller as if it was an EQ. This will insert the controller between the mixer and the amplifier.

Gigrac 600 turns off, displays the Amp 2 clip light then turns off. All volume knobs are turned down. All external items are disconnected and it still turns off. My only complaint about these units is...

There is a bad amp in that divice that is causing an overload. The device then shuts down. This is not something that you can fix yourself. IT requires special diagnostic tools and troubleshooting as well as soldering ability.

Sound craft lecternette portable lectern L46 volume not reliable

Probably the volume control is flakey, There will probably be a slot in the control body, spray some contact cleaner or WD 40 into the slot and work the volume back and forth. If there are any other controls do them also. That should take care of the problem. Getting to the control is your problem I am not familiar with that model.

Hi Have a Souncraft FX16 and about 3 hours in after sound checks but before a show , the system gave off a pop and then a buzz.. Not good with a few 1000 watts out front. All channel PFL lights came on...

No experience other than decades of electrical engineering experience. Verify that your amps AND this mixer all are powered from the SAME receptacle or power conditioning module. This means running your power back to the mixer and ANY other connected equipment alongside your snake. Powering equipment from building receptacles at opposite ends of a room subjects your equipment to noise ground bounce that CAN trip the electronic fuses in equipment or cause some devices to lock up. All pro's in sound carry an extension to bring power to the mixer from where their amps get the power.

If your equipment gets too hot, try a fan on it. Moving air doubles the power handling capabilty. If powering unit down and right back on takes another 5 to 10 minutes, it is NOT a thermal issue. It would fail again in a minute. Regulators often run hot... they should have thermal grease or the silicone transipad thermal pads... they are grey in color.

Soundcraft GIGRAC 600 pre-amp power supply keep blowing the low valve resistor 1ohm. they are the resistor just before the bridge rectifier, for the low voltage feed. Once resistors replaced the unit...

The resistor is acting as a fuse and will continue to blow until you fix the REAL problem. LIKELY the filter capacitor(s) beyond the bridge rectifier are failing. One needs to use test equipment to measure the current through the resistor and see if it is reasonable. The capacitors can heal briefly and then start to short. One should also check the rectifier in operation with an oscilloscope as one diode could intermittently short.

Please help. Cannot turn the soundcraft gigrac 600 on.

Check the fuse. If it has blown, do NOT replace it without taking for service first. Additional damage often occurs when users replace fuses that have blown due to internal failures in equipment.

Also check that the power cord is fully seated... sometimes they don't quite make it...

We understand that your problem is: I have two jbl eon 15 two way (non powered) speakers. recently heard a loud crack through them (mic was not on)and since then my music and my voice now sounds really...

Likely a bass pin or tweeter has gone. Drop all on eq and then just turn bass/low up. Try each speaker separate. Then both together. They should sound exactly the same. Then repeat for high end. You'll find the suspect this way.

6 mnths old Alto L8 Mixing desk developed hiss on channel 1 only.

The slider or the amps for channel 1 may have a problem.

Sliders do wear out.

Try shorting channel 1 input and see if that affects the noise. A hissing noise is probably a bad preamp chip. That is shop work at a repair facility.
