Bought brand new ink but it keeps saying it doesnt recognise the ink i have put in

Take the cartridges out. Clean the contacts on the cartridges, (brass color,) with a lint-free cloth. With a almost dry damp cloth, wipe the exit areas where the ink comes out, just a couple times. Unplug the machine. Plug it back in. Open the barn door, and install ink cartridges. Allow the ink cartridges to re-align. Printer should work fine.

Printer not printing, message appears saying cartridges dont fit.

Have you recently changed your cartridges? Try replacing them, if you haven't printed for a while the cartridges will dry up and you will not be able to print.

I have to ask this question of you, just to make sure this is not an issue. Are you using a factory new ink cartridge?
Please consider the following:
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridge that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead.
If you are using factory new cartridges, then please call the manufacturers Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges
