SOURCE: i have little white dots appearing on the screen

The DLP chip on your DMD board is defective.I never even heard of this problem until a few weeks ago now it becoming an epidemic. The repair is not cheap unless your techy enough to change out the chip yourself. However the picture will go out of alignment if you do will have to be adjusted. Some repair companies may want to change out the entire light engine (where the DMD sits) becuase its a lot easier and no adjustment but will cost more.

SOURCE: Own a Samsung DLP TV 42 inch and white dots have

The random whit dots you are seeing is more than not the DMD or million little mirrors board. The white spots represent some of the mirrors that are sticking in the on position. In that case they are always reflecting white light from the lamp. I don't concider the DMD board a do it yourself repair since on the older DLP set it requires mechanical alignment as well. The best thing to do is contact a techincian and see what they might charge to repair the TV for you. Please take a few moments to rate my answer...Thanks..

sound like you have a bad dlp chip. this happens to a lot of samsung dlp tvs. some of the mirrors are stuck. they can appear as black dots or white dots and it usually gets worse over time.

Cracked screen & white dots appearing since the crack appeared

I have a Mitsubishi TV and had the same problem. There is a mirror that moves to control each pixel. When some of them fail to move you get the white dots. Google your problem and a company will come up(sorry forgot the name).,you can buy the new part from them and they have exact utube videos to help you do the repair. Took me about an hour. Part was around $150. Very rewarding feeling when you turn the tv back on with no white dots.Still dot free after two years

I have nec np200 and there's a lot of dots appeared on the screen. what seems to be a problem

I have 2 NP-200 projectors installed in a school which show white dots on a black background and black dots on a white background. This is caused by the DMD chip losing pixels. Only solution is to replace the chip, I'm researching now if that i an economical solution.

White dots appears in my screen. I replace the lamp and the problem is the same. (Sharp xr32x)

I would be willing to bet the DMD chip is failing the cheapest used one i seen was on e-bay the chip # will be something like 1076-6319W the only part of the # that matters is the last from what i have seen they tell me the 6318W and 6319W is suppose to be the same chip the used on i seen on e-bay was $124.00 probably better off seeking a new projector if you can not replace yourself as you will have over half of the cost involved hope this helps Robert

White dots on the screen

Need more info. But initial suspicion is there is a problem with your projector.

Are they stationary and always in the same position? You may have bad pixels.

Are the dots there with no signal going to the projector?

What is connected the the projector? Detail the video path - try all the sources. The dots still there and in the same position on all sources?

It is probably your projector.

If some of your sources are fine - the problem might be from a connected source.

Hope this helps.

Dot in the center of my lcd modnitor

You may have a bad pixel, unplug and disconnect video cable, now press and hold power for 2 minutes. Now plug everything back in place and start monitor, is dot is gone ? if yes! there was a static charge that caused the dot to appear, but if there was no change! you have a dead pixel no remedy.

White dots appearing on screen, also have black dots if you look closely...

It can be pixel problem. Every pixel has one transistor to switch off or on. I hate how manufacturers treat us because lot of them 'believe' that this is not a problem (must be more than 6-8 pixel problem on screen for changing). Sometimes little press with finger and shutting down screen can help, but it is possible to do worse if it is to hard press. Price for screens depend on that tolerating of bad pixels from manufacturing. Only few manufacturer can give you guarantee pixel free screen. It is good to know that we have right to return device after buying if we are not satisfy.

Little white and gray dots started appearing on the screen it looks like star constellations??

If the dots are twinkling then you have bad pixels, if they don't twinkle I'd say there is dust built up in the optics and needs to be cleaned, which to do properly the top needs to be removed to allow access to the optical engine to do this. I recommend keeping the unit in a plastic bag when not in use to prevent dust build up.
