Question about Frigidaire 24 in. FDB1050REC Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

Dishwasher starts and runs to 2nd rinse cycle, when pump starts to pump water out, all lights on front display flash along with key pab lights blinking. you can turn off and restart, but is does the same. Diswasher will also try to start when in off mode. Replaced circuit board and it does to same. Did I get a bad circuit board or is there another problem. Also when I try water service test, I get a Rinse aid fault.

Thanks, I also thought that the control board was the issue. That is why I replaced it. After further investigations and solutions on this site, many leads pointed to the membrane switch sticking. It seems my mebrane switches were intermittantly touching and making the control board go crazy. I replaced the console which has the membrane switches molded in. It fixed the problem. Funny thing though, In the box with the new console there was a list of new codes. under the ER code it said " do not replace control board" replace keypad and console assembly. The old code for ER said switch failure. Which I quess they were correct. Thanks for you help, my wife is happy now !

P.S. I tryed to scan new list of codes but this site only takes 150k images.

U REPLACED THE CIRCUIT BOARD IN THE DOOR, THE ONE BEHIND THE CONTROL BUTTONS? THAT IS THE TIMER, IT IS KNOWN AS THE CCU OR CENTRAL CONTROL UNIT, THAT IS WHAT CONTROLS ALL TIMED FUNCTIONS, SO THAT REALLY IS THE ONLY PART THAT CAN CAUSE THIS PROBLEM

follow this steps and fix it. GOD BLESS YOU

Heating Element

If lights are flashing on the control panel, the heating element might have burned out. The heating element heats the water up to operating temperature. After a set amount of time if the temperature isn't reached a light on the control panel might start flashing. The heating element can be checked for continuity with an Ohm meter.

I have filled dishwasher selected temperature and the start light is flashing but nothing happens I think the m/c type is 7197

The Start/Resume light is flashing

This flashing light indicates that your cycle or start-up was interrupted.
Possible causes: The door opened during the cycle, or the power was interrupted.
To resume operation: Make sure the door is closed, and press Start/Resume.

The Clean light is flashing

You should call for service if the Clean light is flashing and the machine is inoperable. It is normal if the Clean light stays on after the cycle is complete. The Clean light is an indication that the dishwasher has been run and that the dishes inside it are clean. Once the door is opened after the cycle is complete, the light will shut off.

The lights are rapidly flashing

Any key that gets stuck will rapidly flash. Press the key a few times in order to release it or press Cancel.

The Rinse Only light is rapidly flashing

If multiple keys are stuck, the Rinse Only light will flash. Press each key, one at a time, to release the stuck keys, or press cancel.

My Dishlex Global 300 dishwasher stops mid cycle and the rinse light keeps flashing ?

Hi,
I think I had the same problem. I don't know much about dishwashers, but the "Flashing Rinse" has something to do with the drain, or the drain pump (which is why the water doesn't drain).

My dishwasher stopped its cycle, after having filled up with water, even though everything else worked fine, because the drain pump was not even turning on. So I guess, the first question I asked was, is the drain blocked? No. When this happened the first time, the flashing rinse cam up. After that, the dishwasher just wouldn't drain, and there was no longer a flashing rinse.

So then, I figured, the drain pump is probably rooted. The drain pump is found underneith the dishwasher, just behind the front panel on the left hand side. You'll need to remove the metal covers from the front and the left.

When this happened to me, I thought I'd need to buy a new pump, so I pulled the other one out (its a bit fiddly, you have to disconnect the two electrical wires, then remove the drain pipe from it, and then wiggle it off. But when I got it out, I unscrewed it (it has the special hexagonal screws, not phillips or flathead), and it turns out, a fairly large fruit seed had got into the drain pump and blocked it, preventing it from spinning. I put it back together again, and it worked.
It so far has beaten paying $100 for a new pump.

If you want a visual of what the drain pump looks like, look up the dishwasher part number #8905912, you should be able to find it on the internet. Hope this helps.

Kenmore elite washer problem

sounds as if you have a drain issue, most common cause of fault is theres something stuck in the pump housing. remove the lower acess panel(3 screws along the bottom of the forn of unit) youll gain acess to the pump housing, remove the large cover to the "button trap" by uncscrewimg the cover, it will be righthin front of you in the center of machine when cover removed, im sure youll find your blockage within there

Hobart lx30 : rinse cycle

The rinse water in a LX30 is driven by water pressure. A solenoid valve, bottom front - gold body, opens up and allows the water to flow.

If you are referring to the rinse agent pump, there must be NO leaks in the tubing or the hose that runs through the pump. And if the unit has lost its prime, using your hand to "seal" it, and forcing water from the faucet into the line can prime it.

Good luck - Mike

Try this solution first
Push the Hi-temp and then push the Sani-rinse. Go back and forth multiple times on these two buttons. I found that after a handfull of pushes that a "1" came up on the display. I continued to keep rotating the two buttons and then a "2" came up on the display and the dishwater started it's "drain" phase. I then hit cancel to clear and then I selected the cycle I wanted. The washer started up just as normal at this point.

do they flash lik all on one side then the other? Start a cycle, then open the door. Do the lights flash the same way when you open the door as when it stops? if soyou may have a door that needs to be adjusted so it closes better. when the cycle ends, is there any standing water in the bottom? if so you may have a poorly routed drain hose or a partial clog in it. Last, pull the bottom panels off and look inside the bottom of the dishwasher and see if there is standing water down there . If ther is you have aleak somewhere or a bad drain pump. You r only other choice is a bad pressure switch. If youve already adjusted the water fil to the proper level ( just up to the grey plastic housing that the lower wash arm sits on) tehre really aernt any more options. Hope this helps!

Indesit DV620 Dishwasher

You have a internal leak in the dishwasher...there is a safety float system in the base (below where you put the dishes in!) of the unit, which in the event of water in the base will stop the cycle and activate the drain pump continiously.... You will have to open the unit and find the leak. Don't know these models, but usually you have to remove side panels and front panel, drain water from the base and re-start....then check with flashlight where the leak is. Oshie
