Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. From what you have described if the lines are perfectly horizontal and in center of the screen then issue is with the vertical deflection of the unit. As there are over 100 serviceable parts in this section and it is not possible to know which one is failing until it is checked so it is only recommended a DIY Job if you have some electrical expertise and know how to solder/re-solder components & have some knowledge about the internal circuitry of the TV, if not then it is always better to have a service tech who can diagnose it. Also the Flyback should be checked. Also if the set is too old then I suspect that the CRTs are getting tired. The typical cost to get it fixed by a professional will be around $300-$500 depending on which parts have gone bad. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

After 10 to 20 mins left half of screen goes to white vert lines

Sounds like power supply regulator board fault. Check all the electrolytic capacitors for any leaked or bulged one. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. Do asearch by type in the brand name of your device at its search box.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis.

Monoscope signal how to get it Mitsubishi VS-6043 rear tring to adjust the picture its all warped looking got tv out of ditch tring to make it work

does the convergence align or move? how is the picture distorted? if the picture aligns but is just warped, use a jig or some string to have some straight lines to reference for your geometry and convergence. the monoscope signal is hard to find and mits had it on a vhs tape back in the day. it really just helped you get the horizontal and vertical size and get a round circle to fix the warp.. just try to make all the grid points about the same distance apart and make it an even grid.

The TV has a thin horizontal line across the screen. Sometimes the line has color and sometimes the line is white. Everything else seems to be working (i.e. sound, channel changing, game hookups)....

you have a vertical output problem, take something insulated and prod around board and see if pix starts to flutter, then you could have a "cold-solder" joint, otherwise its more than likely a capacitor between the vert driver circuit and the vert output circuitry,

SONY KV-27FV310: UPPER HALF OF SCREEN IS BLACK

You have a vert sweep problem and unless you know how to trouble shoot this cuircit bring it to a pro. I found out mostly in these sets that the vert output IC is bad.. Also sometimes the b+ filter cap off the fly is leaky and made the IC to fail. Another thing is Im surprised to hear you got a pic with the vert failure and a bright line in the pic!! This could be a big problem when the sets fixed so dont run it too long like this. It could burn a line all the way across the screen and you will see a dark faint line in your pic because of this. BE CAREFULL!!
