It will do this because after a test page is printed, you're supposed to scan that test page, but the driver doesn't work with vista (meaning you can't utilize the scan button on the printer) so because you can not do that, the "set-up" was not completed, it will continue to do it until they fix the issue.

Skip hp 1510 alignment page process because it keeps on printing everytime i switch the printer on

Hi,

This issue might occur due to an unsuccessful alignment process.
Make sure that you complete the entire alignment process that is print the alignment sheet and then scan it through the scanner.

You may follow the following article as well:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01336348&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=428800

You may find the product manual here:
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00366227.pdf

Also if you want to skip the alignment ,try holding the Enter button down and pressing Setup.

Turn off alignment feature

After you install new ink cartridges or attach the printer to a different computer it will go through this exercise. Make sure you also do the next step... a scan of what you printed-out; or you'll get that message every time.

MY test page always prints

Hi,

I belive that after replacing the INk cartridges, you are experiancing this problem. The Alignment test sheet always prints everytime you turn on the printer, if u haven't completed the Alignment process.

To complete the Alignment process,
>>Once the printer finished printing the Alignmnet test sheet.
>> Place the Test sheet staright on the scanner glass facing down towards right hand corner.
>>Press the scan button(color), the Power ON light will start flashing, wait until it stops flashing.
>>Alignmnet process completed.

Thank You

Printer prints test page each time printer is turned on

There may be something initialised to print a test page everytime it starts, just remove printer, uninstall driver and re start. Re install drivers and connect printer when prompted or when installation has finished. This should revert to default settings.
