I have a 55" Panasonic flat screen that won't turn

Try disconnecting all of your HDMI cables and plugging the power cord of the TV into another wall outlet. If this resolves the issue, you may have had a small power surge from either your wall outlet or one of your source devices. It is recommended to connect your TV to a surge protector if you haven't done so already.

My panasonic TH42PX60U won't power up. No red light flashing. Completely dead. I tried unpluging and using different power outlets. Still nothing. Any help?

1. Check all cable and input connections are secure & all are tightly connected.
2.Check power cords and also power outlet , if possible try to unplug and reconnect . A replacement of power cable or use another power outlet is another good option.
3. If you are sure that power is reaching your TV(check it out with a test lamp that both neutral & ground or earthing is functioning, i.e. the test lamp glows) then probably the power board needs replacement.

My tv won t turn on i just purchased it today i plugged it in and it won t turn on

Check the electrical outlet which the tv is plugged into. Make sure nothing is loose at the outlet as well as on the back of the tv where the power cable plugs in. Another thing to try is plug a different device into that same electrical outlet and see if it turns on. If it doesn't turn on, it could be a faulty electrical outlet. If you've tried both the remote & the power button on the tv, a shot in the dark would be to change the batteries in the remote.
You could always try calling their tech support at 1-800-256-2487. A last resort would be to return the tv from where you purchased it.

Every few months the compressor will not come on. It will try over and over but will not start. At the same time, the light does not come on when the door is opened. I can unplug the power cord and plug it...

Hi!!
The lighting circuit and the compressor electrical circuit are independent from each other once they go past the electrical terminal block, (where the power cord connects to, on the back of the fridge).
For the description of the problem, it sounds like you have a loose power cord terminal connection at the block, a defective power cord or power outlet.
Try connecting the fridge on the other power outlet (if it is connected to a regular dual outlet ), some times the contactors, over time, tend to loose the grip on the power cord plug and the contact is lost, when you remove the plug from the outlet and plug it back in, restores temporarily the contact again, or, the plug itself can be defective and loses contact. Replacing the power cord and using a different power outlet (even if it is a dual) will let you know if that where the problem was. If that doesn't solve the problem, let me know and will do some more troubleshooting.
Good Luck and keep me posted.

Whirlpool refrigerator trips gfci outlet

Yes ,, if the fridge outlet is behind the fridge and therefore not accessible for use by counter top appliances .. then yes change it to a regular outlet.
The cause is probably the compressor, getting a bit noisy..electrical noise I mean.

TV randomly turns itself off and on

This issue is related to the TV's main board not seeing constant A/C power to unit so the board is turning off the TV.

When the TV's main board see A/C power back to the unit, the TV will try to turn back on.

This issue could be a loose power connection for the TV or a failing part inside the TV. Do other electrical devices work when plugged into the same wall outlet?

Try the following:
1. Remove the cord from the back of the TV and reinstall it (perhaps it's loose going into the TV and was not installed correctly).
2. Try putting the cord into a different wall outlet (perhaps it's not a good outlet).
3. Try using a new power cord for the TV. (Any matching cord will work for testing)

If the above did not resolve the issue, then it could be the switch mode power supply and or the main board inside the TV. Both items are easy to change out.

I can look up the LG part number for you.

Panasonic pt-53wX42, power wont stay on. Turn on, no picture then it will turn off by itself after 5 seconds. The red power button will flash on and off until I unplug unit and start the whole process...

I'm no expert, but I'd start by taking a "VERY GOOD LOOK" w/magnifing glass if possible , @ UR Wall Outlet Power Cord. Change to different wall outlet. Ur Power Cord "should" just pull right out of the back of your TV. If nothing in those places, then take off back panel (or part where power cord plugs into TV & AGAIN inspect area around where power cord attached for, yeah, that's right, the dreaded black area around plug-in area. Maybe it's just a bent prong. Any other funny things going on that U didn't mention here? Good Luck Leonard aka quikstudy@cox.net

Gateway flat panel TV will not turn on, the front on and off switch doesnt work at all and when you use the switch in the back the front on and off switch lights up but tv still will not turn on. Is

This sounds like you have lost your power supply. The more expensive the equipment, the more sophisticated the power supply that converts the power from your outlet into your television. There could have been a lightning strike that has disabled the tv. Or it could be a faulty outlet.
Before called for a technician, I recommend plugging the television into a different outlet. use a good quality extension cord if necessary. You may find that your outlet is not polarized correctly. If this does not work, please try our premium service or use our online listing of technician for a professional near you.
thanks and good luck :)
