Your motherboard will not support intel i5 or i7 processor . Reason:- In this motherboard socket 775 is used. It only support intel Pentium 4, Core2due etc..

u could either buy extra fan I have the same IntelDG31PR motherboard with core2duo 2.4. I have 3 Fans in my computer plus processor fan your only option is to buy a new fan
