Dell inspiron 1420 cpu upgrade ???

There are very little things that you can upgrade in an laptop. The processor that you have on your laptop is top end processor in its family and the thae best you can do is to go for a faster core2duo as any other processor will not fit on your laptop motherboard.

Contact your system manufacturer to know about compatible processor for your laptop.

I want to upgrade my core2duo processor to i5 or i7, is it compatible to my motherboard a6252d

Hi rlcaralde,

Your motherboard will not support intel i5 or i7 processor .
Reason:-
In this motherboard socket 775 is used. It only support intel Pentium 4, Core2due etc..

So, if you want to add i5 or i7 processor you need to by new motherboard.

Thanks.

What processors does a dell owg855 motherboard support

Any socket 775 processors.

It was produced before the 45nm processors so it may or may not support those.

It will support the Core2Duo, Core2Quad, and Core2Extreame.

Examples of the mainstream processors shipped with the board are the E6600, E6750, E6850.

Hello can someone tell me if this processor is compatible with this motherboard? P45AL foxconn and processor PENTIUM D 945 SL9QB SL9QQ 3.4 GHz 4M LGA775 Dual Core also if this is not compatible do you...

Hi,

Yes the board has an LGA775 Socket, which means the processor will suit the board you have.

If you are after cheap processors, ebay is great for used cheap processors.

Let me know if you need further help.

Cheers,

Pc Chips P23G wont reconize my new p4 core 2 duo

The PC Chips P23G versions 1.0A & 3.0 will not support any current generation Core2Duo, Core2Quad or Pentium Dual-Core processors. Only some of the first generation (Conroe Core) Core2Duo processors which run @ 1066mhz bus and some Pentium D (presler core) processors which run @ 800mhz bus.are supported. Not even most current BIOS will add support for any current processors. Check the pcchips website for CPU compatibility for the P23G..

Uppgrade of a processor

The processor upgrade defends on your motherboard if it supports a processor like Core2Duo, because it all depedns on the motherboard if you can upgrade processor and RAM ,if you buy a new processor and its not supported by your motherboard it will be a wast, but if your computer manufacturer told you that your motherboard can supports a processor like Core2Duo go ahead upgrade to it , that will definitely make teh computer faster and better sicne Core2Duo is a high end processor right now..

Hope that helps...........
