Question about Maxi-Cosi CabrioFix (Black Reflection) Infant Car Seat

Don't know how to remove easyfix base from car (no instructions and it was fitted for me)

I can't remove the maxi cosi cabriofix base from the car despite downloading the instructions. The first step is to push a control button on the leg and move it up. The grey grooved lever pushes the leg up a bit (enough?) and the indicator turns red. The second step is to push the central button and use considerable force to unlock isofix anchor points. Nothing happens. any tips?

Same problem (nearly). When I push the central button only one of the buckles releases. I've used considerable force, but it won't budge.

Does maxi cosi cabriofix easy base require anything to be removed from it before fixing it? we cant find where the button is that fixes it to the seat

Hi

Can you clarify - what button are you looking for?

The EasyFix base is fitted into the vehicle using the IsoFix points OR the 3 point seabelt. (Never both) The carseat then clicks onto the base and the metal rods on the underside of the CabrioFix carseat are grabbed by clamps on the base.

Indicator lights on easyfix base cabriofix not clicking in to place

Hi
This would indicate that the carseat is not correctly installed onto the base or that the base is not correctly installed into the car on the IsoFix points.

Can the isofix easyfix base be used safely without the isofix guides, ours are missing, thanks.

Good Afternoon

The yellow plastic IsoFix guides are for assistance only when fitting the unit and make no difference to the performance. If you are able to fit the base so the indicators go green it is fine to continue using without the guides. Alternatively if you need replacement guides they can be ordered via your retailer or direct from our customer service department on 01284 413 141 Mon-Fri 8.30-4.30.

Hi, I would like to ask a few questions: 1. Does the Maxi Cosi Cabrio car seat fits only to the isofix base, or can it be installed to the mico base as well ? If it does, the only difference is that the...

Good Morning

The Maxi Cosi CabrioFix can be fitted without any base, using the 3 point seatbelt: With the EasyFix base, using IsoFix points or 3 point seatbelt: With the EasyBase and EasyBase 2 using the 3 point seatbelt. It cannot be used with the Mico carseat base as they are not designed to be used together. The Mico is available in US and does not meet UK standards: Likewise the CabrioFix does not meet US standards so they should never be used together.

If you don't know how to fit the carseat into your vehicle using the 3 point seatbelt please check your user manual, or download a replacement copy at www.maxi-cosi.com before use go to an authorised retailer to check it is correctly installed as this will affect the performance of the carseat.

The carseat has obviously not been correctly installed using the seatbelt as it cannot be removed without undoing the seatbelt if it has been correctly installed. Contact your retailer for a demonstration on correct fitting.

The Maxi Cosi CabrioFix can be fitted using the EasyFix base (IsoFix or seatbelt fitted) the EasyBase and EasyBase 2 (fitted with seatbelt only) or the FamilyFix base (IsoFix only). If you do not have IsoFix points you need either an EasyBase or EasyBase 2 to be fitted with seatbelt.

What's the difference between Easybase (non isofix) and Easyfix base (isofix)? can I use the second one for both maxi cosi cabriofix and car seat up to 3.5 year?

Hi,

The Easy Fix Base is used for cars which have isofix points in their car. The Easy Base fits into your car using the seatbelt.
Both of these bases can be used ONLY for the CabrioFix Carseat and cannot be used for the next stage seat (Group 1).

I hope this helps.
