Question about Hanns.G Corporation JW-199DPB 19" LCD Monitor

Resolution is slightly off after gaming

I have my monitor set to 1280 x 960. This was perfect for a while but now after i exit a game i was playing it cuts the time off on the right side. The only way i could figure out of fixing it was going into the menu and choosing factory preset. This is only a temp fix though. Still stretches when i exit a game.

It isn't your monitor, it is your display driver and settings.

DirectX pulls stuff like that all right. Go on into the settings for that and gently tell it that it should reset on exit and not consider lower resolutions etc. on exit; that is to say, what is happening is that it is slacking on what it changes and restores when it pulls this on you, and that it's the driver and DirectX. You may even be able to cure this by selecting a different resolution for the game (in the game or its configuration files, if not the driver's list of valid screenmodes.)

If you let on what your videocard is and what OS/VM you're using I bet you can get a more specific remedy; here or at another search service.

How to change resolution on acer mounter

If it is a PC game, then you can use the Display settings function by right clicking the mouse in the desktop screen. Change the resolution to something like 800x600 and try. If this does not help, then you will have to provide the model number of the ACER monitor so that I can provide instructions on how to change the settings from the monitor.

My 933sn has this stupid problem. when playing old games at 800x600 half the screen gets streched vertically. i play all the other games at 1360x768 but some like age of empires 2 or counter strike,...

Try changing the resolution your TV is putting out; it may not be in full screen, but at least everything won't be stretched! 800x600 has a different ratio than 1360x768

Trying to download/play games but get this message: Input not supported - then my computer FREEZES and I have to reboot. This a brand new Dell Computer (but not monitor - monitor is 6 years old).

This is cause the game you are trying to play is configured to play in a high resolution but your Monitor not supporting this resolution. If you havent try to play older games, try to play an older game and see if this is happening again. Thanks. Please Rate my Solution.

Acer al1716 monitor input not supported

You get the message because the game try to run at the PC video resolution that you monitor cannot display/support. You need to run your game at native resolution of the monitor.

Moved from tv to pc and now all games show at half screen, internet, and email all work perfect.

Get into the game setting s and reset the resolution to match the computers. This will reset the resolution if it is froze. Do the same with the pc, make sure your resolution settings are the same or as you want them to be. Try to keep your game resolutions close to the native resolution for your monitor when connected to the pc.

Acer X193w-- input not supported..

Hello,

This is likely a screen resolution issue.

That monitor has a native resolution of 1440x900 (I used to have one). If the game is feeding the monitor too high a resolution, the monitor can't display it and.....input not supported. So, if the game has a configuration option (without going into the game itself) set the resolution to 800x600 and try to play. If it works, bump up the resolution until it looks acceptable.

Hope this helps!

Monitor out of range when a game is booted up

The maximum resolution for the MV540 is 1024X768 @60Hz refresh. The other monitor isn't giving you an error message because not all monitors have that feature, but both the monitors are unable to display whatever data the computer is sending. If the display is normal until you start the game, then the game itself is setting the resolution to something out of the monitors' range. You'd need to set the game up to play at a setting the monitors could handle. I've never played WoW so I have no idea if the game offers a way of selecting the resolution. The game may simply require more graphics capability than your monitor can provide. Most systems now are using 17 or 19-inch flat screens or CRT's, and they offer more resolution and refresh rate options.

Input not supported when trying to play a game

the game will need to be set to the same screen resolution as your monitor or the best that suits, beccause of it being widescreen, so look in the graphic or video settings in the game, or change the resolution of your monitor to suit the games highest setting. This is done by right clicking on your desktop, down to properties and then the settings tab in the next window and then move the slider at the screen resolution box.
