Question about Adobe Computers & Internet
Cannot save to JPEG or as TIFF file error signal telling me files are locked and I need to unlock through windows explorer, properties, unlock...how do I do this?
"File Locks" are caused in windows by a program having the files open with write access.
- Verify that you do not have the images open in any other program.
- Verify that you are not attempting to write to read-only media, such as a CD-ROM or a flash-card that has the lock-tab enabled.
- If the above two options do not corect the problem, close all programs and navigate to the directory with Explorer and right click on the directory and click on the Security tab. Verify that the account you are logged in to has Write permissions checked, if not, check the box and click OK. If you run into problems or receive errors, note that you must be logged on using an account that has administrative rights (this is usually the case).
Hope this helps.
