Try re-setting to factory settings, or re-starting the monitor.

Hope this helps!

You should be able to change to factory settings somewhere in the monitors settings.

Why does acer monitor need color brightness adjusted every time I turn it on?

You need to save your settings after adjustment. It will revert back to standard setting if you don't save.

My hp vs19 computer screen was working fine when i shut down and now it won't power on at all.

HPw1907 monitor on "built up" computer. Processor is AMD Sempron 2800+(800)S754, Video card is Navidia, Albatron GF FX5500. Operating software is Windows XP home, SP 3.

Factory brightness setting is much too high. Each time that I restart the computer after shut down, I must reset the brightness setting. Immediately after startup, brightness is OK; after a few seconds, the monitor goes into auto adjustment, and goes back to factory setting and I have to reset.

I will appreciate any help that is provided.

Ibm thinkpad monitor very faint, images are barely visable.

It seems that the contrast and brightness are out. On the monitor, press the Menu button. Then go to the brightness and reduce brightness and set the Contrast to a little more. You will have to tweak these two settings to get the correct picture. First set them at default and the go up and down to get the right picture.

The auto-darken feature(monitor goes dark on dark

In your monitor panel you'll find 4 buttons. Press the menu button and get into Magic Bright. There you can choose the one that best suits you. You can even set to Dynamic contract where the monitor adjusts the brightness according to the elements on the screen

Pop up auto adjust in prograss

I had the same problem with my HP LCD. I'll turn on the monitor and it will run auto adjust and set everything to the max making the screen very bright. What I did was remove the button panel board and put it back. Everything works fine since then.

Monitor gone dull

there is a key on the keyboard which controls brightness. on mine it is the second key on the right, of the bottom row. it has a small sun on it. Press this key at the same time as the function key (on mine, bottom row, second from the left, blue key marked Fn) - and the monitor will brighten up.
