It is an infinity ps 10 and when I have a signal sent with the lfe line or just speaker lines I can not get it to change to green and accept a signal. It stay red whether there is a signal or not and whether on auto setting or on setting. Also sometimes it produces a "heartbeat" sound from the speaker whether there is a signal or not as long as the power is on.

Auto On/Stand-By With the Power Switch 7 in the ON position, the Status LED 8 on the back panel will remain lit in red or green to indicate the On/Standby mode of the subwoofer. RED = STANDBY (No signal detected, Amp Off) GREEN = ON (Signal detected, Amp On) The subwoofer will automatically enter the Standby mode after approximately 10 minutes when no signal is detected from your system. The subwoofer will then power ON instantly when a signal is detected. During periods of normal use, the Power Switch 7 can be left on.You may turn off the Power Switch 7 for extended periods of nonoperation, e.g., when you are away on vacation. click on this link directly and check out more details http://manuals.harman.com/INF/HOM/Owner's%20Manual/PS10,12%20OM%20FINAL%20REV%207-14-03.pdf

Shutting off flash

Yes, but not in the Auto mode, where the camera decides whether or not it needs the flash. Switch to the P mode, which works like Auto except you have control over the flash, exposure, and other factors. See pages 26 and 42 of this manual.

My sub is making a funny noise when it changes from standy to on (red light to green) It happens more when I'm watch tv (directv). If the volume is down or if there is a lot of talking and then music kicks...

I'd guess the sub's amplifier is exhibiting wake-up instability. Most amps are smart enough to mute their outputs until things stabilize.

A brick-and-mortar tech needs to look at this.

Probably not, but you could make it into a passive subwoofer by disconencting its internal amp and powewring the driver directly by an external amp being fed by an LFE channel.

I did this with a problematic Klipsch SW.

Monitor Audio FB212 buzzing

Apparently there is an issue with the 10000uF 80V capacitors. They are poor quality ones and the issue is that the dielectic forms hydrogen internally which eventually blows the dielectric out.

Infinity PS-12 Subwoofer clicking in and out of standby

Hello,
Unfortunately your subwoofers amplifier circuitry will need to be repaired ,the amplifier is bad and kicking in to protect mode. This mode is designed for safety of the unit and user and sub should not be operated until repaired as it may incur more damage to the components. I hope this helps.

Infinity PS-10 quit working

I think the electronics have a 3 years warranty and the drivers have a five years warranty for this product, maybe you can have it replaced. Maybe the auto on/off signal detector is the culprit.
