This has been an on going problem with this game. All fans are newly replaced. Computer has no dust, completly clean.

I have the same problem with different monitor connected. The only thing that seems to be a very temporary fix is to power the game off for about 1 hour then it will work for another 4 hours. So maybe something is getting hot. Its like the computer on the game goes to sleep.

All cooling fans are new along with the processor fan - power supply is also new.

Sounds like you could have a cold solder joint that is opening up. A cold solder joint expands and contracts with heat or cold. When your machine has been running for about 4 hours that ambient temperature inside the machine is probably fairly elevated and the PCB that has the issue is even hotter. If the display is the only part of the game that dies after four hours that narrows it down a little. You may want to contact the manufacturer of the game and ask for an assembly drawing and schematic so you can try and troubleshoot it. The other option is don't play it for four hours. Good luck with whatever you decide, let me know if you need anything else.

Probably needs the cooling fans cleaned. It is just like a computer, either the processor fan is dirty or dead.I suspect dirty because it would not go 4 hours before failing. I would get in there and clean that dude up.

Go to the electronics store and buy a can of instant freeze. When the thing starts to mess up squirt a tad on each component of the board till the problem clears up. The stuff rapidly cools down electronics. That is how tv repairmen ID heat related problems. The can come with a straw so you can pinpoint areas you want to check.

The machine is only rated for temperature operation to 100 degrees. That is low. That being said you are getting the error do to something overheating. The way that you can check it is to get another monitor and plug it in where the original is connected. IF you get the same error then it is the JAMMA USB board that is having the problem .If it not giving that error on a different monitor, then it is the monitor that needs to be replaced.
The monitor has two connections. One is output and the other is input, you should note which one is which when you test. Make sure that you are only testing the output from the JAMMA USB.

I was not saying that was how to fix it, I was saying that is how to diagnose it. On a standard display you have indicator lights that tell you if there is a signal present. WIthout the ability to have those in plain view on the game, the only thing that you can do is check it with another monitor.

There should be a cooling fan located inside the unit that could be full of dust and not cooling enough

I have the big buck hunter pro for my tv, ive tried to do the shootgun calibration from multiple tvs and stood as far back as possible and it still wont calibrate, the menu button will not work either

I'm having the same problem. I found that if I put the LED box on TOP of the TV, it will recognize the first target, but not the second or subsequent targets.
It looks to me like this will only work with a smaller TV. The angles seem too large on a big screen TV. I've contacted the manufacturer to see if my guess is right.

When turning Buck Hunter Pro on i am getting an error message error 0x01 Loading Linux - 2.6.12-bs thei text keeps repeating on the screen.

You most probably have a hard drive problem, corrupt software or less likely a motherboard problem. First step is to reimage the hard drive. You need an install disk to do this. If one isn't present you can obtain one from a distributor such as Betson in the US or Brent Electronic in the UK. After turning the machine on open the coin door and press the DVD button on the computer to open the DVD drive's door. Insert the disk and close the door. Turn the power off then back on again. The software will now install, and follow any instructions. If the game doesn't run properly you will need specialist help. I would suggest sending the core computer to a distributor or specialist dealer for testing and repair.

The words "no signal in" keep appearing on the screen. The game begins to boot but the but then those words appear on screen again.

Check the cable is properly attached to the video card on the rear of the computer and to the monitor. Exercise caution near the monitor as high voltages are present even when switched off. If this doesn't yield anything I would replace the cable between the monitor and the computer next. If this still doesn't improve matters you may have a problem with the video card itself, which would require the computer to be opened up.

When big buck hunter pro is turned on I'm getting system boot failure. This has happened a few time over the last month. The last time it happed I turned game off and it booted up. This time it is not.

Reimage the hard drive by opening the DVD drive door and inserting the recovery disk, which is obtainable from a distributor such as Betson in the US. Close the DVD drive door and power the game off then on again. Follow any on-screen instructions as the software installs. If this procedure fails or the game still gives trouble, you may have a failing hard drive. You could attempt replacement yourself if you feel up to it, or alternatively send the entire computer unit to a distributor or specialist dealer for testing and possible repair as necessary.

Computer turns on but screen displays "no signal"

I am an amusement arcade game technician. I have found that the Big Buck Hunter Pro arcade games that use DELL pc's are fine, but the ones that use the "generic" pc inside have a tendency to overheat, causing capacitors to fail on the motherboard. You need to replace the caps , or get another motherboard.
