The first thing to do is loosen the ceiling canopy, there is usually a couple screws at the top edge of the canopy. then you want to disconnect the wiring, do not forget the green wire also. then depending on the mounting type, it may just lift out, one side of the mounting bracket has a space to allow the ball to pass thru. Or you may have to unscrew a couple mounting screws at the ends iof the mounting bracket

My ceiling fan with light is not working properly the light comes on but the fan doesnt

Sounds like it is possibly a wire came loose. There are usually 2 wires that connect to the black wire (hot lead) in the ceiling. One is black, the other blue (for the light) If this is not the case, there are other electrical 'glitches' that can cause the problem, and the fan needs to be replaced.

Hunter ceiling fan has flickering lights at all times. replaced bulbs and dimmer switches. what could be the problem?

Loose connecton on the receptical (bulb socket). Also in the ligh scoket in the center there is a connector. it may need to to be raised up. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CHECK WITH POWER ON
KILL POWER AT MAINB BREAKER.

Also check all wire nuts for loose or corroded connections

My flush ceiling fan is wobbling and hitting against the ceiling making an awful noise. How do I fix that issue?

The fan blades appear to be out of balance. First, check the screws that hold the fan blade irons to the fan motor. Tighten all that may be loose. If that doesn't solve the problem. the fan hanger bracket behind the ceiling cowl cover may be loose (it's attached with thin screws). In addition, the electrical box, that the hanger is attached to, may have come loose from the ceiling joist. If the electrical box has come loose, the box will need to be reattached to the joist with 1 1/2" long screws.

Hope this helps to solve the problem.

Hunter 52" ceiling fan model 23457-380, the remote lights up

check the hard wiring from the factory. Where the light kit attaches to the fan check the wires in the factory cubes to make sure none are coming off. I had a similar problem that kicked my **** for a few minutes but I saw a loose wire after a bit of research. My fan also clicked but never turned on. Also pull the chains on the fan/light to make sure they are on. Hope something works for you.

Ceiling Fan Light Switch stopped working

I was able to resolve the problem. It turned out that the light fixture part that I had received from the associate at The Home Depot was the wrong one. I needed a 3 speed not a 2 speed replacement part. However, I ended up not even needing that. Once I took the fan apart and watched it malfunction, I could see that the clear part holding the fixture rope on my older fan had another circular piece in the center that had become loose but had not fallen out. I simply used a very small piece of blue paint tape to seal back in place. Since the area doesn't get hot, I found this to be a suitable solution. Thanks for your help.

Cover does not attach to the universal bracket I purchased

Buy a drill and drill bit and make a hole in the bracket where needed. To make installation easier, use a larger that needed drill bit and add washer to screw, won't look as professional but you are not a professional anyway. Who goes around looking at ceiling fan mounts anyway???

Can we use old remote for the new fan

It is possible. Unless you know a bit of electronics, it would be difficult to do the conversion. You have to study the control circuitry of the old and new ceiling fan. You are lucky if it is a pin-to-pin direct conversion. An electronics techinician at your location can do it easily...I guess.

Ceiling fan with light and remote stopped working

Hello jluiken,
The motor in the fan is going bad. Unfortunately it will not be cost effective to repair the item as you will be doing an overhaul on the main component. It would be cheaper for you to just purchase a new one. If you leave the fan on for a long period of time you will see that it will become hotter and hotter, which could be a fire hazard so please be careful. Sorry for the bad news.

If you do not mind, please rate my help, I would greatly appreciate it.Thanks
