Computer is not functioning

H!
Please check the lock of your processor. If it is tight or loose. If it is loose then it is the one causing the mother board no to function properly. You must tighten it to make it stable. After checking and it is not the reason for the malfunctioning of the system. Try to remove your CMOS battery and then clean, and remove also your memory card in the mother board and clean. Return it after cleaning and then close the CPU and turn it on. During the booting process strike the delete key to enter into bios set up. Adjust the time/ date settings to your current time. Press F10 then enter. wait for the CPU to process.

Please post any comment if it was solve so that I can give you more option if it does not solve your problem.

Wirring for my mother board

The board may have tiny words printed on it telling you what the plugs are.

Most newer boards are fool proof in that only the specified cables can be plugged in. generally the Hard drive plugs into IDE 1 or MAIN and CD drives plug into IDE 2
Video cards go into the First slot usually. It may be AGP or PCI or PCI express depending on the board. The extra PCI slots are for extra devices like NIC cards and Sound card. Power cables cant be plugged in wrong because there male to female and only fit into there designed plugs.

Make sure the motherboard is installed correctly and is not touching the actaul case but held up with spacers. you can find these at most Computer stores.

Really try and find the manual online if you can. It may be necesary when plugging in the little pins for the power switch and USB pins.

good luck.

Mother board

Firstly your motherboard doesn't have video capabilities built in so you have an addon video card. I doubt there's any problem with the board as it's jumperless and you can't have the CPU settings wrong. Are you getting any beeps when you switch on? The length and number of beeps can tell you where the problem is. The usual problem with no video is either a memory problem or video card problem. If you can borrow another video card try it. Make sure the plug is correctly inserted all the way in and make sure the video card is properly seated in it's slot. I assume you're using the 4x AGP slot. Remove that and try another ot even a PCI card in the PCI slots. You may then get a picture. Actually apart from finding it hard to figure out your actual problem it's very hard to diagnose a fault from the little you've told me. Certainly the motherboard can be faulty and you won't get video but it's the video card you should be looking at first. Have you turned the monitor on and plugged it in?
