There is a valve that you can push up on the bottom of the tank but do it over the sink. There may be something under the valve seat that is causing the leak. If you push up hard on the valve you can get the O-ring to come off so you can clean the seat. There is a piston and spring on the inside, so when you replace it after cleaning, it goes spring piston and then on the under side push the O-ring on the bottom of the piston.

Aircompreser has water in it why

All compressors, no matter where you are, will get water in the tank over time. When you compress air, it's ability to hold water vapor, usually measured as humidity, drops and the water condenses in the tank. All air compressors have a valve on the bottom of the tank so you can periodically let the water out so the inside of the tank doesn't prematurly rust through.

2005pontiac grand prix with water in the gas tank

Your best bet is to drop the tank and then dump out the water. Dropping the tank isn't that big of deal. Remove the filler hose and a couple vacuum hoses. Unplug the main fue pump harness. Remove the fuel lines. Support the tank with an appropriate jack. Remove the straps and drop the tank.

After the toilet is flushed and the water in the tank drops the floats drops but even with additional downward pressure water doesn't fill up the tank in earnest.

ok...first turn off the water supply at the shuttoff valve under the tank(presuming you have one if not shut the water off some how) disconnect the supply line from the flote valve and hold it into a 5 gal bucket while you turn the water back on slowly. if you are getting good pressure from the supply line then the flote valve is bad or has been obstructed by foreign matter.

My current water tank was installed 12 years ago With Bladder. 1 hp motor. 80 gals. Water Pressure is consistantly low. When reset to 40-50 lbs, it drops shortly after back to thirty lbs in the house....

If I understand you, this is a water well. For pressure to drop, water must be going somewhere. If you see no leak in the tank, that is not the problem.
Check all outlets, faucets, toilets, showers, outside faucets, etc. If you see no leaks and the pressure is still dropping, there is a check valve either before the pump or in the well and this could be leaking back. Either way, the pressure should drop to zero unless the pump comes back on.

My Amtrol Therm-x-trol tank has dropped 6 to 8 inches since it was installed, and a few drops of water are coming from the washer where is attached to the water heater. It is very heavy now. Could it be...

Sounds like the internal diaphragm has ruptured. The tank should be replaced immediately. You should disconnect the electrical power to the water heater and close off the incoming water supply to the heater. Open a HW faucet to relieve the pressure and remove the tank. Be careful cause you are going to get wet. Replace with a new tank.

Lots of water on basement floor at pressure tank.

sounds like the bladder tank at the well is ruptured this will cause pressure surge, and pump short cycling, and needs to be replaced asap.

Yes it is in the tank and yes you will have to drop the tank unfortunately. Disconnect the battery, drop the tank, remove ring, and replace wiring and fuel pump. Put back in reverse order.

Water in gas tank. how do i drop two tanks on 1999 chevy 3500 steak truck

Normally it's just a matter of removing filler tubes from side, disconnect fuel lines & electrical connections at fuel pump/sender, undo the 2 straps, & lower it down.
