If you just bought it, why don't you file a warranty claim with your vendor or the manufacturer?

We have an LG electric dryer Model number DLE2050W and when I turn it on it starts and runs but after awhile the illuminated board goes black, but the dryer continues to run. But it will not shut off.

I have an educated guess for you. A part of each control of a washer and a dryer is a little electric "clock". Those things can fail. I sounds like you may have a timer clock that is sticking and not advancing.
These " clocks" are a part of the times, and are not sold separately.
One way to possible tell would be to put your ear to the area of the control panel where the timer is and listen. Most of those "clocks" tick, and you can often hear them, or you can watch the dial, and it should advance with a click every so often.
Be blessed.

Dryer displays F 70 code. How do I get it to stop?

Unplug the dryer for 30 minutes. Then reconnect the power cord to the outlet. This will reset the code temporarily. Unfortunately, the code means that the central control unit (clock) isn't communicating with the rest of the components correctly. You probably will need a new clock or dryer (depending on the warranty status). If the unit is under warranty, contact Whirlpool or the store where you bought the dryer (if it is brand new).
I wish that I had better news for you.

Hi Ron Arsenault

Sounds like your timer is faulty and not allowing the dryer to shut off...replace your timer, they are not re-buildable
Go to the following webpage for parts.
Note: Try to replace the timer with the same mfg,..and replace only one wire at a time to keep from getting confused.
Please take time to rate me

Kenmore 110.6807 Dryer won't run properly. In diagnostic mode, everything checks out, Dryer runs and heats. Getting F2 error in normal and diagnostic modes. I disconnected P5 and checked the switches on...

One of the first things to do when a F2 error code appears is to perform a simple reset. To do this, turn the dryer off and disconnect power to the dryer. Wait 30 seconds to one minute, restore power and turn the dryer on. Choose a new dryer cycle and push "Start" to begin. If the error code does not return to the display, the reset was successful and no further action is necessary. Hope this helps.
