I have a little plastic toy stuck in the drain and it is an odd shape to get to the basket. I can see the hand but it is too far back and I don't think that it will come out that way. I hope there is a solution!! Jessica

Blanco Supreme 533-U sink drain leaking at seal

The sink basket/strainer that fits into the large hole of the sink should have either a bead of silicone sealant applied to the sealing lip of the assembly or a ring of plumbers putty. Silicone will work very well if the mating flanges are clean and dry.

With the baket in place, the rubber seal goes between the large nut and the sink. A bead of silicon on this is optional on the sink side of that rubber seal. and the nut tightened down snug , forcing some of the silicone out fro beneath the mating flange and rubber seal. Tight enough so the basket is not free to move. Be it plastic or brass/metal, that order is the same, only a plastic nut is not tightened as tightly as a metal nut would be.

On the bottom of the drain basket assembly there is a nut, to retain a plastic or brass tail piece. The plastic tail piece will have a polyetheylene "flanged washer" for a seal to the bottom of the sink basket. If it is a brass tailpiece, a rubber seal and metal nut is used with "pipe dope"/thread sealing compound used on the threads of the metal nut. With the plastic nut, you can apply a few wraps of teflon tape to the threads of the drain basket, but is not required in most cases as the poly flanged washer will form the seal. The plastic nuts should not be tightened any more than hand tight.

beneath that, the rest of the drain assembly attaches. If plastic- no more than hand tight. if metal, only about 1/4 turn past hand tight. Metal nuts and parts should use rubber gaskets/seals and the plastic parts should only use the poly tapered/lip seals.

Maytag Atlantis doesn't spin out so the clothes have to be rung out by hand. It agitates, drains and everything else seems to work fine.

Hi, recently I worked with mi atlantis. I found the problem is the brake. It wash, and drain, but when motor reverse for spin, the basket do nothing. The big plastic pulley under the brake is supose to lift the brake when spin. But in my case The brake disk stuck with the stator part. I remove the washer front panel, remove the belt, remove the plastic pulley without loosing any part( look for mounting order), disconnect basket hoses, and unload the 6 or 7 springs around them. Once removed and on the floor, you will see at the bottom a caution label, well that is the Stator, placed with few 5/16 bolts. Its supouse to use a special tool to handle the spring inside, (but I simple handle it replacing two long screws and then unscrew it. be careful) Once removed that plate, I have the brake disk and the spring. I sanded all the brake and leave a little uneven surface, and assembly all again. It works and only need a new belt just in case. I also have the oportunity to pressure wash the basket.

The far right and left ends of the spacebar do not work. In order to use the spacebar function, the direct middle of the button has to be pushed down.

You need to reposition (clip) the torssion bar under the spacebar key (a steel wire formed in a wide U shape), it is unhooked, call for a professionnal if you'r not sure how to do this as you may brake the plastic hinge if you don't know what you'r dooing...

My GWL 11 is stuck right before the rinse cycle. It will not drain. The two orange rinse lights and the red spin light is on, and there is a quiet electrical humming sound. No error beeps. I've already...

Hi just read your posting. Now bail some of the water out by hand with a pot or small bucket so you can lean the machine back far enough to look underneath the machine without it leaking everywhere. Now when are looking underneath the machine look to the front right and you should see a red or black fan,This is your pump.Turn the fan clockwise and anticlockwise a few times to loosen the pump if any thing is jammed. The fan should spin freely. Now put the machine back on its feet and select a spin cycle and hopefully the machine starts to drain. Please reply to tell me how you got on or if the machine is still not draining or you have the other type of pump.Good luck.

My Kenmore Model 11027086604 washer will not drain and spin. The display blinks back and forth between F and 51. The instruction manual does not address this problem. What can I do?

does the basket spin freely?
could be something stuck between the basket
i can help you to take apart if you need instructions.
This would only if it is hard to turn by hand and you can hear something rubbing when you turn the basket.
F51 can be your rps sensor, board but more than likly "knock on wood" you have something stuck between the baskets very easy to check.
let me know

How do I get the carrtidge out of a Moen shower fixture?

Use little tool (plastic) that comes with new cartridge, in center, and push in and turn with wrench on square end.
It has to bite in to cartridge, and as the cartridge turns, it will start to move outward. You'll see how sleeve where cartridge sits in, is shaped live a "V" sort of, and as the cartridge turns, top and bottom brass pieces of cartridge follows that "V" and lifts itself out, far enough to get hold with pliers, and wiggle and pull. Sometimes takes a little patience, and maybe the odd curse word, but should come out.

Sears 700 series top load washer, model 110.27711600

no that is a shipping pin when they pulled the strap those pins fall into those little cups instead of onto the floor. so it does not spin. does it agetate? if the answer is yes you probaly have a good drive coupler. Possible suspects would be a bad transmission if it is stuck in nuetral drain, clutch if you can push start the basket in spin cycle you have a bad clutch, bad drive block you need to take the agetator off and check to see if the drive block is not raised from the basket drive basket drive has 2 ears that fit into the drive block.

My printer will not print, therefore I cannot receive faxes. I can however fax to others. The printer cannot pull the paper from the feeder even though it's making noises.

On mine, the big drive wheel w/ the numbered plastic disk stuck to it cracked around shaft and stripped. Fed one page, wouldn't the next but made bad sound as tried. Said gear is first one on the left on shaft. Used little gel superglue. Stuck numbered sensor wheel back on any position; seems to reset itself. Took me gutting whole thing to find it though it though, duh. Got one plastic piece, one strip of pad, and two odd shaped pads left over, though. Hadn't figured out where they go yet but it prints and copies great! No screw left either!
