Call logitech harmony and they will UPS one to you. There was a problem with batteries swelling up and breaking the back. Its a known problem and they will even cover it out of warranty.

You would have to check with Harmony and see if they have a parts list. If you still have the manual, that info should be on the first or last few pages. Or Google "Harmony 890 replacement parts".

If you live in the US, you can call the Logitech Sales Line at 1-800-231-7717 to buy a new battery cover and battery.
If you're from somewhere else let me know and I will tell you how to get replacement parts.

I have an 890 also. I've found that the remote doesn't always charge when it the charger. I have to put a rubber band around it and make sure it shows that the the battery symbol on the display is showing that it charging. Or the battery isn't taking a charge anymore and I'd try to replace it. Doesn't really hold a charge very long either.

I had this same issue and Logitech gave me the troubleshooting steps below that got it working again!!!

1) Remove the battery from the Harmony Remote for 10 seconds and reinsert it. If this does not resolve the issue, please continue troubleshooting.
2) Ensure you have the latest version of the Harmony Remote Software (7.7).
3) Update the firmware on the Harmony Remote. The following link shows how to complete this task:

4) Try putting the Harmony Remote in safe mode and complete the firmware update again. The following are the steps to accomplish this:
a) Remove the battery from the Harmony Remote.
b) Press and hold the power button while reinserting the battery into the Harmony Remote.
c) To get out of safe mode, remove the battery for 10 seconds and reinsert it into the Harmony Remote.
