Microsoft Wireless Comfort Keyboard 1.0A in Vista 64bit - intermitant

I just upgraded to Vista64 bit and now Im having problems with my Microsoft Wireless Comfort Keyboard 1.0A and mouse combo. The base has a ps/2 (purple with a keyboard picture on it) and a usb. Never had any problems before with both of them plugged in, now with 64 bit vista I I can only get both the keyboard and the mouse to work by JUST plugging in the USB, in which case it works, but is jerky and skips letters when typing.

I have updated to the latest intellpoint (which is 64bit compatible)

I have changed out the batteries.

Best I can tell its either just bum drivers not working with 64bit or maybe something to do with my bios ?? It is weird that it functioned fine before with both ps2 and usb plugged in and now it wont. Any ideas?

I upgrades my dvd drive, then lost my keybaord and mouse. Cannot turn my computer on without the keyboard. Any uggestions the ony thing that I can think of is that the kyboard and mouse is not compatible with the ista operating system.

Used to have this problem on my Vista x64 Enterprise - not sure how I had resolved it earlier. However, since applying the Service Pack recently, mouse has stopped working and Keyboard skips. Even using a different USB Mouse behaves erratically.

It is definitely not just a problem with 64bit. I too am having the same exact issue with the same exact wireless keyboard/mouse combo. I"ve tried downloadig the new intellitype pro 6.1 software with no results. I also can't find any info on google as to WHAT can fix this. I love this keyboard. Its my work keyboard!!

You can download the driver from the following website. Make sure to select Vista 64 bit from the drop down menu.

I got the problem resolved. I have an ASUS A8N-SLI motherboard in this computer and I had to do a BIOS update. Once I did the BIOS updated I never had another issue with the keyboard or the mouse.

Keyboard not functioning properly

I had a similar problem with a new MS 4000 Keyboard. I found that I had two versions of the IntellPoint software on my Vista system. I uninstalled the older version (which came with my new computer) and the keyboard seems to be working well now. Check your system via the Control Panel, Install/Uninstall Programs and look for the MS IntellPoint software. Good luck.
