This error message is to do with your Realtek Audio application not being able to start properly and is related to the Notification Area Tray (the icons on the bottom right hand side of the screen).

The problem itself is caused by one of two things. You need your computer udating to the latest Net framework or the application itself has become corrupt.

To fix the problem I recommend that you perform a Microsoft update first by clicking on the Start Menu>All programs>Windows update.

Download and install all the updates available for your computer. The computer will restart and hopefully this should resolve the problem for you.

If its doesn't then reinstall the Realtek audio software.

If you still have problems or require additional help like obtaining the correct audio drivers then please post back.

Good luck.

I have a dell vostro laptop which is 2 months old and has now got a problem on start up an error box titled pcts.tray.exe system error shows up and in the box it states the program can't start because...

that error points to a file in spyware doctor (icon in task tray to be more precise) re-installing the program will fix this, on the other hand if you hadnt installed the program in the in the first place it could be actually spyware itself, download this program from (advanced system care) not only will it clean the spyware but also tidy up and clean your registry, its a free download and i recommend it as i use it myself

    Rtl100.bpl what is it.

it sounds like a program was removed and the operating system is trying to run the program when the OS starts up. Are you having any problems with your programs or virus scanner? A virus can disable/remove files or programs. Did you un-install any programs? Did your virus scanner find any malware or virus and remove them? Try all your programs and see if any have trouble starting. Check the windows start-up folder and see what icons are in that folder.

I think your problem relates to the TuneUp Utilities program. Go to Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs and look for the program. Remove it. Then you should be able to run the updates. Good luck.
