Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console

My Action Replay nds refuses to be detected by the PC no matter what I do!

I tripped over the charging cord in my bedroom and the DS fell off my bed and hit the ground hard. It worked fine for a while (the AR) but then I went to modify a code and it screwed up and erased all of my games! I figured it had gotten a problem with modifying codes when I dropped it and I would have to add codes through the PC from now on. At the time I only had a mac so I had to wait until we got a PC. But when we finally got a PC I tried and tried to hook up my action replay but it never got past "waiting for DS." I fully charged the DS and updated and re-installed the software but nothing seems to work! :-(

I Loaded the software onto PC and put the AR into the DS all worked fine, with the PC seeing the DS. I pressed to update as instructed the system deleted all files on the AR, then started to write the updated files. The system then locked out with an ERROR Code 0 and the PC locked out. Rebooted the whole lot. switched the DS on, plugged in the AR. and guess what NOTHING !. The DS won't even recognise the AR

the PC says its not conected. so I have lost eveything. Tried the AR on 3 other DS units, same thing , nothing at all. Can the AR thing be reset in some way? It seems like you just bin it when there software screws it up.

First, insert your Action Replay Installation disc into your CD Drive

Next, plug in your DS through the USB cord, your computer should prompt you to install the NDS link (If it's a USB port, say yes anyways because it will install the NDS Link O.o)

Afterwards your DS should be seen by the code manager

Now after you have that all sorted out:

First, Reset your DS by doing the following:
Hold A+B+SELECT+START When the white screen shows up (The white screen will remain there for a while longer than normal)
Release the four buttons when the menu shows up
Lastly, connect your DS to the computer, you should now be able to enter codes/games again

There really is no need to buy a new or used Action Replay for these two problems, then you just hit the quick-update button and your Code Manager will load as many games as it can onto your Action Replay

When I said DS for resetting, I mean Action Replay, after you start it up (after that DS warning screen)

The action replay might have a couple of loose wires, or was used too many times. Try getting it repaired professionally

I want cheats for Ridge racers5

I'm not sure if you're asking for cheat codes for use with Ridge Racer DS for the Nintendo DS, or Ridge Racer V for the Playstation 2 - Unfortunately, neither game has actual cheats built into them. You can, however, use a hex editor tool (also referred to as a Trainer, Gameshark, or Action Replay), which would allow you to cheat.

Running Windows Vista 64x and my nds link driver won't install

If you bought the action replay, plug in the cord and a screen will pop up asking you if you want to search for NDS drivers. It will then say no drivers can be found but if you have the disc that came with your NDS to insert it into the computer. You put the small disc that came with the action replay into the cd rom and it will detect the driver. Then you can install the driver.
