My gmail won't load new "inbox" messages. It won't recognize my password. I don't want to change my password. HELP!!

If you are sure your password should not have changed, go into you mail settings and re-enter your password. Choose Mail>Preferences and select the account button. Fill in screens that follow.

If that does not work, contact Google mail and ask for a password reset. Then enter that information into your mail program.
If you want to keep your present password (sounds like you do) once you get access to your email account again using the new reset password, change your password back to the password you like. You basically override the new reset password and reenter your favorite password.

Hi Jon Denver, you did not specify that you are talking about user account password or administrator account password. In both cases you can use password recovery software to reset Windows password. You can click (or can search by yourself) http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Password+Recovery+Software+To+Reset+Windows+Password+Stellar to get a list such software.

I need to bypass password on my dell dimension 4600

When you boot up to the log in screen type in administrator as user to log in if you cant log in

during the boot up process you will see on the screen for a short amount of time press a certain key to enter set up press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS using the arrow keys scroll down to set user password or supervisor password you can change or remove your password from there

The most common way that we know on how to reset or clear the BIOS password is to physically remove the power from the computer by disconnecting the power plug and then removing the Cmos battery for 30 minutes from the motherboard.

Another way is to reset the clear CMOS jumper on the motherboard itself.

Both of the 2 methods mentioned works because most motherboards use a battery to sustain the BIOS/CMOS settings for the motherboards PROM chip. So by cutting off cmos the battery power, the BIOS/CMOS settings will be erased.

cmos battery Under the keyboard or bottom of laptop - If you are working on a laptop computer the location of the dipswitch (almost never a jumper) can be under the keyboard or on the bottom of the laptop in a compartment such as the memory compartment. Although on some motherboards the Cmos battery is soldered in

Often many users will leave the administrator account alone or have other accounts with administrator rights. If you're not logging into the computer as administrator or have other accounts follow the below steps to reset your other accounts password.

Reboot the computer into Safe Mode
During the boot process tap the f8 button three times this will boot into safe mode where the only things working will be your mouse and keyboard enabling you to attempt to repair your computer Advanced Boot Options screen appears.

Select the Safe Mode option using the up and down arrow keys, then press the ENTER key. Choose "Windows XP Home/Professional", depending on the version of the operating system.

Press ENTER. Shortly, the welcome screen should show.
Log in as "Administrator". Click Yes to not use System Restore Mode.

Click the Start button. Choose Run and type in "control user passwords" (without the quotes). Click OK.

Select the "Administrator" user. Click Change my password. Enter a new password in the corresponding text boxes. Click OK. Write this password down and store it in a secure place Close the User Accounts window and restart Windows.

In User Accounts select the account you wish to change the password for, click change password and then enter the new password or click remove the password to remove the password from the account.

If all else fails you may have to clear the BIOS password by resetting the RTC (Real Time Clock) IC (Integrated Circuit) on your motherboard

Many RTC's require an external battery. If your RTC is one of this type you can clear the BIOS password just by unsocketing the RTC and reseating it

Hope it helps

I have Harman Kardon HK-206 speakers that came when I got my Dell Dimension 4500 in 2002. No problem until I got an iPhone and started synching. Now no sound. When I check the control panel, it says...

I realize you frustration in regards to this issue and am not sure what steps you have been walked through. This seems to be a driver conflict (other issues are also possible - sudden hardware failure even though coincidental as it may be). The first step would have been (assuming your still on a windows machine i.e. the Dell 4500) to do a "System Restore" on a date prior to installing any of the iPhone software. Then checked if the speakers had sound. If not the next step would be to check the hardware by: If you're running Windows 7 or Windows Vista, click the Start button, clickControl Panel, click System and Security, and then, under System, click Device Manager. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
If you're running Windows XP, click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, double-click Computer Management, in the left pan click Device Manager. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Double-click Sound, video and game controllers to expand that category. If a sound card is listed, you have one installed. If no sound card is listed, check the information that came with your computer to see if there's supposed to be a sound card installed.
If there's a yellow question mark next to the name of the sound card in Device Manager, there might be a problem.
Right-click the name of the sound card, and then click Properties.
Click the General tab, and then look in the Device status box to identify problems with the sound card.
If there is a problem with the sound device, it will be stated, and you might need to update your driver for the sound card.
You can double left click on the device marked and click the "Drivers" tab and select "Update Driver Button" to see if this will update the driver.
If this was successful, then restart your computer.
For further details on preforming these steps please see:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/help/no-sound-in-windows
If these steps did not correct the issue I would need a little more information or you exact sound card.
