Question about Sharp 25J-M100 TV
On the back of tv, the cable connection adapter has been loose for some time, but now it has come undone from the inside.
I took the cover off the back of tv, saw where the connector belongs, but the area where it comes through, the hole is oversized, oblong, I'm assuming it's from moving the tv around that's caused this.
It's a great tv, the picture use to be great, bright colors, sharp clear pictures.
Is this repairable, and can you send instructions for repairing it.
The RF jack is solder directly into the tuner module and as long as it
did not break the circuit board inside that it connects to, it can be
repaired . Takes a lot of heat though to solder the jack to the
frame of the tuner. Sometimes I use 2 irons to get it hot before
the plastic guts of the jack melt too bad. Also is sometimes hard
to cram the jack back into its mounting hole, may need to file it
out some. The makers don't solder these on they are just pressed
in and crimped which is why they break off so easily. I recommend
using the push on type cables to avoid this problem. Don't forget
to solder the center conductor into the tuner board.
Hope Ya Fix It!
