Question about LG Flatron L1710B 17" LCD Monitor
I've been having serious problems with my LG L1710B monitor...
A few months ago I ran into the problem of everytime my monitor turned on, the display would have a redish tint and then turn off after a couple of seconds. Pressing on/off until it worked again seemed to work until it got to the point where the monitor would be on for a -split- second before turning off. So I reluctantly used my back-up monitor for a few days thinking that I had probably exhausted my poor monitor... after that, worked like a charm again!
A couple of weeks ago, the same problem started happening. So after an on/off trial, I went back to my back up monitor. 2 weeks in, and the problem is still there.. if I press source a few times, the image comes back and then turns off again, which is probably the same as just turning it on and off.. could it be a loose connector in the actual monitor? Why does the monitor have a red tint?
In advance, thanks to anyone who might be able to help!.
If the picture is Reddish either at top or bottom It could be the backlight failing. If you are technically able you maybe able to Replace the CCFL backlight.
