Question about Seiko Smart Label 240 Thermal Printer

Print Manager queue

Hi

I am suddenly getting a porblem with a SLP 240, i have it networked through a machine so other users have access to it, every 4-5 labels it brings up an error message 'print job did not start' on the client machines.

The only way i have seem to resolve this is to 'flush' the queue in the Print Manager, however i am not having this problem with some of the other printers around the building.

I also cannot find any settings for a limit of labels to stay in the queue or an option for deleting labels from the queue upon deletion

    Similar problem with the SLP 240. Networked, and other users cannot use it unless I reboot my pc.  Also moved the printer and now no one can access it but the pc it is connected to.  Any ideas??

Check your labels. Are there black "sensor marks" on the back of each label? That's apparently how the printer lines itself up.

when you say uyou copied the old printer over I assume you actually reinstalled the Printing Application from scratch?
You cannot just copy the seiko directry over, t doesnt load the .dll files

My Lexmark s605's print queue won't clear, and so the printer has stopped working altogether


Please follow the steps below to clear the print queue and restart the print spooler of your computer.

1. Browse to Start -> Run... and type in NET STOP SPOOLER (this will stop the print spooler service)

2. Browse to your windows\system32\spool\PRINTERS\ folder. You should see files there ending in .SPL and .SHD created around the time you tried to print - delete these files.

3. Browse to Start -> Run... and type in NET START SPOOLER (this will restart the print spooler service)


Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

For you to cancel a print job from the queue, you need to have admin access to the server or main computer. Please contact you local IT for this so you can get admin access to the server.

I have a Windows printer set up for the Ricoh 12332C. Jobs are sent and clear the queue, but do not print. They appear to be accepted by the Ricoh - they show in the job history log, but they do not print...


Usually the setting of yout network with your copier/printer setting is mismatched so your printer.copier did not understand. What you can do you should check the system setting of your copier/printer and print it out then you should find the driver of your printer/copier in the add printer hardware secrtion in control panel of your computer network . Before you reinstall it , you should uninstall the previous driver so there is no conflict when you reinstall new driver . Try it
