I have WII video game (grand slam tennis). I cannot play online with my friends. I was told that it is due to my router (brand : my essentials ME 1004-R) what do I need to do to play able to play online that game ?

here is my router (see picture) I don't the NAT setting on it

These informations were found on the booklet that goes with the game :

This game uses the following network ports for playing online. If you are running a firewall, ensure it is set to allow the game to communicate on these ports both inbound and outbound:

    • TCP Ports: 80, 443, 13220

    • UDP Port: 3658

If you are having difficulty connecting to other players online and your Internet connection is behind a router using NAT (Network Address Translation), you may need to enable port forwarding on your router by forwarding all data on port UDP 3658 to the IP address of your Wii console. Alternatively, you can put your router into a DMZ—

    I need help

    Thanks

You refered to the following information :

" go to NAT settings and unblock your games.
Open port also which is uder by your online game.
You need to forward for that follow my above direction and access your router then go to port forwarding in NAt then forward tcp /udfp port which is uded by your games."

I don't see the NAT setting in my router . I see LAN setting.

How do you do the rest of the direction
    TCP /UDP port forwarding

Can you explain step by step how do you do this as if you were talking to a child.

    Thanks

You need to configure your router.
For that Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link.
http://192.168.15.1
or
http://192.168.2.1
If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it.
Then it ask for user name and password.
Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank.
Then you can see configuration page of router.
Then go to NAT settings and unblock your games.
Open port also which is uder by your online game.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Hi,

Please follow the below mentioned steps in order to configure your wireless router:

The wireless router needs to be configured with SSID and encryption and the wireless card on the computer needs to be configured with the wireless rouer's settings.

The SID details would be given to you by your ISP.
Follow these steps to configure the wireless router and the network card.
1. Connect the wireless router to your computer with a LAN cable.
2. Start your browser and enter the router's configuration URL IP address.
3. Enter the router setup, login and password
4. Change the admin password
5. Go to the wireless settings and change the default SSID and turn off SSID broadcast.
6. Setup encryption key the strongest is WPA2 (if not then WPA).
7. For further security measures - turn on MAC address filtering and enter the MAC address of the wireless cards on the computer/s you want to connect to this wireless router.
8. Record the settings you have made and keep it in a safe place and Save the settings.
9. Configure the wireless cards on the computer/s with the SSID and encryption settings of the router.
10. Remove the LAN cable between the router and the computer then the computers should be able to connect to the router

You can also find detailed information on your router by opening the below mentioned link on your browser:

In order to have the TCP/UDP ports released, you will have to get in touch with your ISP

Wii game that has color distortion and lines when playing after one hour.

This is a classic glitch. This is most likely caused by your Wii being old/ out of date, because sometimes when video games become really old and out of date, they start glitching and weird things happen. This is a perfect example. You may not be able to fix this problem, but hey, nothing's impossible.

How do i get wii shop chanel

Hello

To get to wii shop channel first you need to configure your system
Configure your Nintendo Wii for a wireless Internet connection. The only way to access the Wii Shop is by having an Internet connection and a wireless router. The Nintendo Wii has a built-in wireless router that can pick up signals from wireless Internet connections. Make sure that your wireless Internet router is close enough so that the Nintendo Wii can pick up a signal.

Loading Wii Shop;
Use your Wii remote to select the Wii Shop from the main Wii channel menu. The Wii Shop is located in the top right-hand corner of the screen. If your Internet access is not set up yet, then you will be prompted and automatically brought to the Internet Configuration menu. Once your Internet is set up, you will either be brought back to the Wii Shop or the main channel menu.

Navigating the Main Menu
Look at the main Wii Shop menu. Here you will be given two main options with a couple of general options at the bottom of the screen. The first option is to look for games for the virtual console. The Virutal Console contains games from past systems like Turbo Grafx 16, NEOGEO, NES, Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64. Once you have loaded the virtual console menu, you can search games by most popular title, new titles, system, genre or price. When you have found a game that you are interested in, press the "A" button to see a more detailed description with a couple of screen shots, and find out how many Wii Points the game costs.

Wii Points
Purchase Wii Points directly through the Wii Shop by using a credit or debit card. You will use the Wii remote to point and select all of the card holder information. The minimum amount of Wii Points you can buy is 1,000 for $10, so if you want a game for 700 Wii Points, then you will have 300 points left over for future purposes. Instead of using a credit card through the Wii store, you can purchase a Wii Points card at a local retailer. These cards come in different point values, and 100 points represents a dollar.

Downloading the Software
Finalize your game purchase by confirming how many Wii Points will be deducted from your account. Once you have done this, the game download will begin. While it only takes a few minutes to download, you can see the progress by watching a Mario character jump and hit a brick. Once he has reached the third brick, your download is complete. From there, you can continue to shop in the Wii Shop or play the game.

Wii Ware
Check out the other option that is labeled as "Wii Ware." Wii Ware is a lot like the Virtual Console, but everything created here is new and original for the Wii. You can get updated channels like the new Photo Channel or get exclusive Wii Shop games like "Midnight Pool" and "Family Table Tennis." The games here actually are interactive Wii games, and you can get the full game for a lot cheaper than a new Wii game from a store.

Hi, i have a wii but i cant connect to the belkin router. i get an error message 51330 ..pls let me know how i can sort this out.thanks

I configured my router (through the device page) to accept mac addresses only, so I had to go into the wii set up page, get the mac address, and tell my router it was ok to communicate with it (allow it access to internet). You'll also have to turn that feature on in your wii device as well. The cool thing is now I have mii's from other people around the world and have played table tennis with Micheal Jackson, Billy Mayes, and even JESUS!

The wii

If you have the Wii set up as the DMZ host then yes all of the traffic the wii generates will be allowed. This will allow you to play games online.

Wii is playing all games on auto

For Shrek I don't know, but for Wii tenis, I know that you can set the players to be cpu or player conrolled. I guess your daughter has set all of them to be controlled by the cpu. I think when you're setting up a game in wii tennis and you see all the players standing on the court (still in the menu screen) check to see if it says player or CPU.

Good luck.

Caid.

Wii connection issues.

You can check if the problem is with the internet connection going to the Wii or just the wireless connection.

When you loose connection, check the Wii's ip address. If it does not have an ip address(or ip is 169.xx.xx.xx) that means that the Wii is disconnecting from the wireless network. You can then try other wireless channels on your router.

If the Wii is still getting an ip of 192.168.x.x, that means that the problem is the internet from the router. You might need to forward ports on the router for your Wii.
