No display

Make sure that the program controller is working if not check power - step down supply, the pads are responding- if not faulty pads- or the door switches, if the switch contact are not good then it will not trigger the processor to switch on the waveguides. If the lights or fan work without any display or action of program being triggered to start then it can be a possible fault on the main board or the processor. Sometimes insect secretion can short the board and display panel and so the processor can work in such an erratic manner. If so clean, solder and reset the board. Now identify the parts by clicking this link: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/microwave/a/5/141/identifying-microwave-parts.html

If there is no heating please do not switch on unless you have confirmed the fault. It is possible that the Magnetron is faulty, the temperature cut off is faulty or the main capacitor is short. It is also quite possible that insect can get into the oven and create soft spots. When you switch on these will create a short and make the voltage jump and in the long run damage the magnetron. Check this link to know how a microwave works:

Fault F 17 appears when in use. Starts grinding the beans but no coffee in the cup yet. What does F17 mean?

f 17 is no water flow. It usually occurs when the brew unit has not been cleaned regularly, when the coffee grind size is set too fine, or when oily beans are used. You can try to soak the brew unit in hot water for a while, and run water through it in the sink. Unfortunately, most cases require brew unit replacement. A properly cleaned and maintained brew unit should last the life of the machine.

The glass front of my Miele classic oven (installed 1999) just broke as a result of a loosened handle. I am loking for two answers: 1) where can I fin the modelnumber and 2) does anyone know where I can...

If it is a single oven, the model number is on a silver metal decal inside the oven on the right hand side. If it is a double oven, it is inside the lower oven in the same spot. The model number will start with an "h" followed by 3 or 4 numbers depending on age ( h4880) (h350) etc. If you cant find the model number I can identify it for you with a picture of the front. Unfortunately, parts are only available through miele. You can contact them at 1800 843 7231. press 0 and ask for the parts department. I have also had luck purchasing parts on ebay.
I just saw this post was 3 months old. You may have your issue resolved by now.

Miele pyrolytic oven: error 90

F90 is a faulty oxygen sensor. This fault clears after resetting your circuit breaker for 24hrs only. you will not be able to use any automatic programmes as the oxygen sensor measures the moisture in the air and then decides how long to cook for. You will need a Miele service technician or a registered service agent to replace the oxygen sensor. This should be covered under warranty but check with your local Miele dealer first.

Fault 23 is displayed on the control panel after using teh self clean function on our miele double OVEN H398 BP2. IT IS NOT LISTED ON THE MANUAL WAHT DOES IT MEAN?

F23 means that the required pyrolitic temperature was not reached during the self-clean cycle. If the other half of the oven does not do this, then it could be a problem with a door lock switch or one of the overtemp sensors.

Hi, I have a Miele Cooktop km 451. All in a sudden it stoped working and even I tried to turn the brake on and of it still did not start. I have a miele oven H 4880 BP as well and after turning on and...

Then reset oven by holding start or cancel, depending on the model for 5 seconds. On some range you have to hold down control knob. If that does not work, then you have either a blown fuse inside the oven, or a wiring problem inside. If the oven and range has no power at all, not even display on, then there is no power from main.In that case replace the circuit breaker and test a different socket. If instead there is display but oven does not heat, try reset by holding button first and cutting power for few minutes. If that does not work, there is need to remove the appliance back panel to replacefuses at the back. In that case I suggest contacting a technician by calling the number listed on the owner manual.
