Sounds like the main bearings have seized, or there is something fast between the inner and outer drum, and this is what has caused the belt to snap.
Try reall hard to push drum round in either direction, if it is something caught, you may free it this way enough to dermiune if it is bearing failure or not.

Drum does not rotate

Is it making noises, Humming Buzzing etc.?
You should hope it's just the Belt NOT The motor / pump assembly.
If the belt is broken you should be able to rotate the agitator manually, if not it could be the motor.

Bosch Classixx 1400 Express - Drum not rotating.

Sounds like teh belt has either broken and come of of drum, or is simply lose. take the back off mchine; if broken buy a new one; if lose loosen motor bolts, press teh motor down until belt is taught and retighten. Check first to see if their is soap on the belt/pully/drum/motor carrying the belt as this could be causing it to slip

My whirlpool duet (Model # WFW8400TW02 )washer stopped working. the steel drum is not rotating and clothes are not getting washed. please let me know what could be the problem.. --Ritu

If this has a belt, then the belt may be broken or stretched out. Bad drum bearings can seize up and won't let the drum rotate anymore. A bad door switch can cause the machine not to run.

Start the power switch on and problem and drum is not running

Hi, the washer drum is not spinning, check to see if the motor is running, then proceed as follows:

If the motor is running, your washer probably has a frozen pump pulley or a broken pump belt. To check the pulley, remove the pump from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if it's frozen or stiff--replace it. If the pump belt is broken or looks quite worn, replace it--but be sure to check the pump pulley before you change the belt.

If the motor isn't running, the lid switch may be defective. If so, the washing machine can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.

My washer's drum is not moving at all.

a worn out or broken drive belt perhaps?

Check your appliances parts diagram to see what it uses

to connect the motor to the drum.

I didnt find your model online so look here and see if you recognize one of these units.

Drum does not agitate water goes in and it just humms, no agitation or spin

The drive belt is broken or the motor's rotor is stuck. Open the door and rotate the drum manually. The drive belt is worn or broken if you can freely rotate the drum. The rotor is most probably stuck if you cannot turn the drum.

Visual check can be done by removing the back panel. Remove the screws holding it to the cabinet and pull it off. Replace the belt if it is worn or broken. Simply wrap it around the drive motor pulley and on one side of the drum pulley. Rotate the drum pulley in such a way that the belt completely wraps around it.

Try to free the rotor if it's stuck by lubricating it and forcibly turning it back and forth until it turns freely. To remove the motor, disconnect the motor wiring harness and ground wire from the terminals and remove the mounting bolt. Pull the motor out of the mounting slots. To reinstall or replace, simply slide it back into the mounting slots and secure it with the mounting bolt.

In some cases, the drum will not spin due to a broken drum pulley. Post it back if that is the case.

I have a Tricity Bendix AW1000W. The drum will not rotate. The belt is fine, the brushes on the motor seem ok, the machine fills with water ok and the pump drains it ok but there is no drum wash rotation...

Could be anything , from a loose connection or broken wire to a control board or timer fault..You say the brushes are o/k, but if they are less than 3 or 4mm long, they need replacing.
Even the motor itself could be faulty.
I assume the drive belt is o/k, and correctly tensioned..
It is difficult to advise you further because thier are too many variables involved.
Please leave your comments on my suggested solution.
Thankyou.

The Dryer is not rotating

Asad, if you are hearing the motor trying to start I would start with the motor capacitor. Looks like this model has a wash and spin side. Each side has a capacitor for the motor. The manual is not too informative but it looks like there is a switch that has to be made too. But if you are hearing the motor humm, I would start with that motor capacitor
