Thanks for the info on the toshiba 2805-s302 regarding the power problem. I tried the manual reset by holding power button down for 30sec and then put battery pack back in along with a/c adapter. Still encountering same problem as before as to which the laptop will not power on or show any video display and is completely silent except for flashing amber light on front. Is there anything else that i could try that may be the problem?

You might have a faulty motherboard, I suggest you do a manual reset. First remove the battery and adapter. Hold in the power button for 30 sec. and then put battery back in and adapter and try it again. If problem persist, please contact me for additional help.

What indicates corrupt files and numerous errors? Can not connect how? Wired or Wireless? Dell Inspiron model number? And a "Toshiba Satellite 2805-S302 Notebook"? Can you clarify? Dell Model number and OS, Desktop Make, Model and OS? Connecting Wired or Wireless? Tell us about the "corrupt files and numerous errors"? Sounds like Malware? When you try to load IE, Google Chrome, Firefox, etc., what does it say, do?

E system 1212 Laptop won't switch on. Power

Laptops are so integrated that usually a system failure that involves power issues such as in your case where you cant get it turn on with anything on the screen mean the mainboard (motherboard) is damaged. This usually leads to buying a new laptop or paying for the board to be replaced which usually costs as much as the laptop.

Green led mains light comes on, battery amber light rapid flash

This sounds sucky, but you may have a power-supply issue. Especially if you have had to repeatedly press the power-button. If the laptop is new, call Toshiba and see if it's under warranty. If not, find a local computer tech to test your power-supply. This problem is less common nowadays, but still an issue for some!

Hope this helps!

Dell Dimension 5150 automatically turns off

That flashing amber light is usually a sign the power supply is failed or is failing. I would suspect the power supply is the problem in yours. It is the better of the two problems connected with the flashing amber light..the other is motherboard is failing. Arrrr!
hope this helps (it takes a standard- oh say 350 watt 20-24 pin power supply unit.)
Hope an answer helps.
Please leave rating, thankyou
