Question about Panasonic DMR-EH57 HDD Recorder Player
My DVD player DMR-EH57 has stopped playing DVDs. When I press play, it shows a circular symbol with a diagonal line across it. I have turned off the timer for all prerecorded programmes on the HDD. Why is this and how do I fix it? Thanks
Well the first thing to try is to let the system unplug for an hour (unplug of any cable) and then plug it back and retry. One is about playback restriction. It's possible to prevent playing of any DVD. I don't know if this is implemented as removing the play button only or also including opening the tray. To remove that, a password is needed (usually 0000 if never selected). Panasonic usually are serious about password and often don't offer a reset option to remove them.
Another is related to the DVD RAM format of disk. If you have that format, perhaps the protection need to be removed before being able to remove the disk. Look for the keyword "protection". Please post comments for more help or information..........
