If this is a new devopment the receiver may be faulty. Try disconnecting the TV 2 line from the back of the receiver and connecting it to TV1 if it has a coax input and place on TV2 channel. If all is clear the issue is in the cabling or hardware and will require a tech visit. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

VIP622 DVR is working one tv in the living room but not in the bedroom?

Debra Beuthling-Gentry,

I would be happy to provide more information on this, though I just need a bit more information. It sounds like the receiver is in dual mode since both lights are on. What exactly is happening on the second TV? Is it a blank screen with no picture, or is there a message that pops up? If it's a blank screen with no picture, try putting the TV itself on Ch. 60 or 73 and see if anything changes.

My VIP622 keeps jumping back to live TV when I try to back up while watching live TV, or if I resume playing after pausing. But if I've recorded a whole program, I can play, pause, back up okay.

Dish network vip622 receiver won't turn on. Periodically blinking green light.

Hey there! Becki Barned with Dish Network customer service here! The problem that you are having is, of course, a power issue. To help this out, try plugging the receiver straight into an outlet on the wall if not there already, or tryo tunplug the receiver from the power source for 10 seconds. If that doesn't work, the receiver may need to be replaced. Blog if any other troubles!!!

Hi there, my name is Mayra Diaz with DISH Network, I just ran into your post, just wanted to make sure that everything is working ok for you. Usually when this issue happens we would replace the HDMI cable first and if that would not work we would replace the DVR receiver. If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to post back.

Lost the audio to the second TV

Hi lesplank there are some things we can check to get yoursound back. The first things you will want to check are the cables on the backof the receiver to the wall are secure and tight. And after you verify they'retight you want to make sure the TV 2 is turned up to a mid level and if youhave a surround sound make sure it is on the right input and turned up. If thesound did not come back you will want to reset the receiver by unplugging itfor 10 seconds and plugging it back in. The receiver will power back up on itsown and once programming comes back we want to check to make sure TV2 hasvolume. Now after all these steps you did and if there is still no sound youcan try unplugging the TV2 for 30 seconds and plugging it back in.

Get a replacement receiver and see if this does not resolve the issue. I expect it will though. In the interim try a different port on the tv if you have multiple HDMI inputs and another HDMI cable if you have one available just to ensure that our suspicions are correct.

Thanks for using Fix Ya and being a valued Dish Network customer.

Connect a Dish VIP622 to a DVD/VCR

Hi piautewith the VIP622 receiver connecting to your DVD/VCR player you will need theinput/output jacks. To setup recordings to your VCR/DVD player, you will want torun from receiver output to VCR/DVD input and from VCR/DVD output to TV input. Thefan on the VIP622 receiver is just like the fan in a computer tower. Even ifthe receiver is off the fan will still run to keep unit the right temperature foryour DVR receiver. Video jerky audio good on some recordings

Hi, bedrocks12! I'm going to ask you a few questions so that I can get a full understanding of the situation in order to assist you with this. If this is still going on, try this simple trouble-shooting procedure of unplugging the receiver's power cord from the wall for 15 seconds then plugging it back in. Did that work? If not, what type of connection do you have from the receiver to the TV? Also, what type of TV and receiver do you have? The model number is located on the front panel in the bottom left corner.
