Have you got at hp Printer installed on ur pc.
I have the same problem computer crashes while watching online tv and games in full screen leaving me with a random colour blank screen only way to reboot was to hold the power button in.
I sent it of to be repair it came back with report saying cover bevel front cbls replace which, I asume means cables and front panel power button, they also clean the inside and put hd back to factory setting.
I had to install all my own software back onto it again. I did it in stages. Everything was going well utill i went to install my hp all in one printer f2280 and the problem started again so I uninstalled it and tried the online tv again all going well so far.
I was thinking it could be something to do with HP Smart Web Printing Plug-in. I am going to wait a couple of days see if problem reappear if not I will try installin Hp again but will disable plugin to see what happens.
Hope you get ur pc back to normal. Dont know if this will be of help.
Good luck

Hi , I've just been trfying to figure this one out, which model do you have, there are a few different ones available for your pc,so i'm going to need the correct model. Are you in the UK or somewhere else?
I'n ot really into gaming.
Do you only have 2 gig of memory, if so, you're gonna need more because i think this pc has intergrated graphics, which will steal system memory.
What I would do in all honesty, is have a word with the shop you bought it from and ask them about a seperate graphics card with dedicated memory and I would then buy extra ram for your system. is it a 64bit system?
I am reading conflicting details of different configurations for your pc from different websites, so can you tell me which one you have please?
I will try and help.
Regards - Anthony
Yes, dhecom is correct, i used to rate ati for gaming, but now they have too many problems.
Regards
N, i think it is a driver, but i thought as much that you don't have it.
Do you know if it is an intergrated graphics?
When I have looked on Acer website it says it is pci-e but I don't know if that is an option only.
I have looked on another website, ( Tesco Direct ) it says it is intergrated.
If it is, then I would strongly suggest that you get a dedicated graphics card ( stick with NVIDIA ).
Incidentally what screen resolution are you running at?
I'll try and help more.
Anthony
Hi, just been reading up.Take a look at this, I know there are other websites to search and read and it is from 2008, but here goes -
http://www.yougamers.com/news/18133_choo...
So to point out,
New graphics card first, if that don't work which i think it will,
it's time to upgrade the cpu, but if the pc is under warranty, you will void it.
If you do replace the graphics with a dedicated card, you will have to contact acer support, on where you stand.
I hope this helps - Anthony

Dear matthardy15,
1. Uninstall ATI Catalyst ( add & remove programs)
2. restart and try play again.
note: if its working, install other catalyst version (common problem for ATI Catalyst)
good luck
