Dvd problem, cyclic redundancy check error

Please help me
i´ve bought a dvd music concert, i tried to watch it in the computer and there was a track with problems, so i went to the store and changed it, the new one also has problems with the same track,(the disc doesn´t have scratches), i tried copying the files to the HDD but is says it there is a cyclic redundancy check error, tried burning it, I tried to make an .iso image but the same problem keeps coming out, i thought it was a problem with the disc, but before changing it again i decided to try watching it in my xbox 360, and there was no freezing image, the track with problems played perfectly, so i decided to try it somewhere else, i played it in a home theater dvd player and there it was, freezing again!!!!! The same track, it really seems weird that two dvd's have exactly the same problem, so my questions are, is it possible that all the dvd's in the store have exactly the same problem???? Is there a problem with my computer's dvd reading unit? And why it does not freezes in my xbox 360, but it does in the home theater? sould i go back to the store and change the dvd again? ( and may be having another frustrating experience of finding the same problem with the same track), or if there is a way i could connect the xbox to the computer and use it as pheripheral to copy the files to computer´s HDD? Since it doesn´t seems to have problems reading it
thanks

Most likely there is some DRM scheme that your DVD drive does not support fully. Try looking for a firmware update for your DVD drive on your computer and see if that fixes the problem.

Hi,

Cyclic redundancy check

A cyclic redundancy check error on a hard disk means that part of a file read from the hard disk doesn't match the expected value.
A cyclic redundancy check error, in other words, means that files on your hard drive are corrupted.
Repair a cyclic redundancy check error on a hard disk using the Check Disk tool in Windows.

Click "Start" and click "Computer."
Right-click the hard disk with the cyclic redundancy check error under "Hard Disk Drives" and click "Properties."
Click the "Tools" tab at the top of the hard disk "Properties" window.
Click "Check Now" under "Error Checking."
Select "Automatically Fix File System Errors" and "Scan for and Attempt Recovery of Bad Sectors" in the "Check Disk" window by clicking each option if it isn't already selected.
Start a disk check and repair by clicking "Start" in the "Check Disk" window.
Click "Yes" if the "Do you want to schedule the disk check to occur the next time you restart the computer?" prompt appears.
A disk can't be checked if it's in use, so you'll need to restart Windows to check it.
Restart your computer by clicking "Start," clicking the arrow icon to the right of "Shut Down" and clicking "Restart."
(External drives will not schedule to happen on restart it will happen straight away.)

Cyclic redundancy error when copying backed up files into Itunes

Files with cyclic redundancy errors means these files are corrupted and cannot be copied. Since you cannot copy these files from your faulty hard disk again then these songs are lost and you need to download them again.

This is a good read on what this error actually means:

What I recommend is reformatting the drive under Computer Management, and seeing if that fixes the problem.

I downloaded some videos to my hard drive. When I try to burn them on or erase them from my DVD, I get this error: "Error 0x80070017: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)". What should I do? Note: ...

Cyclic redundancy is one of the data checking algorithms and it is getting a non-recoverable error for some reason.

I suspect the software you are using to burn the DVD may be corrupt or incompatible with your Vista operating system.

It ALSO might be that the video is COPYRIGHTED and you are being blocked from copying it to a removable medium. There is no solution for that situation.

Unable to copy files from cd

Hi,
Please check with the another disk if the same issue is coming with different disks this is a ODD issue otherwise the disk is faulty as cyclic redundancy means the data could not red from the sector of the disk.
Thanks
