When I turn on M275 I get power light, hard drive

When I turn on M275 I get power light. The hard drive light and all other lights blink once and fan runs continuously, but no further activity. Tried booting without battery and nothing different.

I have the same M275 tablet and was looking for a solution when I came across your post. I couldn't find a solution so I went over every nook and cranny of my tablet and found my hard drive was not completely pushed in. I pushed it in tried the power button again and it worked! I am shocked because my laptop has been down for a year now. I thought maybe it was a motherboard problem and it was junk. I'm so excited. Anyway all I can suggest is check that the hard drive on the right side is completely plugged/pushed in. I hope that works for you.

Again.. do u get any displaly or more important.. any beeps when powering it up? Try the old keyboard mash.. to force a error before the post . If u get into the bios screen that way or even so sort of beep code. These Toshibia sometimes have a problem with the power switches.

The battery light blinks after shutting down my hp elitebook 2730p. Both the hard drive and power lights are off. What would cause the battery light to keep blinking after the pc is shut off?

The same thing has been happening to my tablet lately, as well. However, on mine, that corner of the computer is slightly damaged (from shoving it into my backpack too roughly, i guess). Is your hp damaged? Otherwise, it's probably a hardware problem.

Cooling fan keeps running on m275 gateway laptop

If the fan keeps running constantly, it could be a number of things:

- The interior of your laptop could be dirty or dusty. If you remove the bottom cover and blow some compressed air into the case (when the computer is off and the battery is removed) it should resolve the problem.

- The CPU is overheating. Do you have it overclocked? What do you primarily sit it on when you are using it? You may want to think about getting a cooling pad (either powered or unpowered).

- The fan is dying or dirty, and not spinning as fast as it should. If this is your problem, you'll need to replace the fan, but this is the least likely scenario of the three.

Shows more stored on hard drive than is there. Keeps saying hard drive space running out.

Empty the "Recycle Bin"? Files are not really gone until you empty the contents of the "Recycle Bin". They still take up drive space.

My Gateway m275 tablet will not charge or power up even with it plugged in

At least a 50% chance the power pin inside the computer has been damaged. Taking apart a laptop and getting it back together correctly is a tough job . . . .The part (the power pin) is not that expensive ($ 5-10) but the labor is expensive. If you don;t feel up to the task, have it fixed by a professional and after it''s fixed get a CRD (Cable Retention Device) to keep from damaging the pin a second time.

If you are unable to install the software it means that you don't have administrator rights. Its due to ntfs permission ,you must install it with login into your account as administrator..just make one more administrator account in safe mode and try whether you are able to do fix the issue or not.

My m275 does'nt even turn on

The first thing to check for a tablet not turning on is the small sliding "padlock" switch next to the power button. If your computer is off and this sliding switch gets accidentally slid into the padlocked position, your computer will act 100% post mortem.
